Am I the only person who can't stand the skits in Joe's reviews?
I like how everyone here is acting like Req packs are a huge grind or any worse than CS:GO/TF2 crates Literally by playing normally you are bombarded by a ton of options right from the first game. Played two matches and I have enough ghost cards to last 10 games It is kind of a dumb system because the mode would be better with a bit more consistency in it (i.e. keep staples like rocket launcher in there by default) but it literally gets in the way of the game hardly ever.
yes but at least with TF2/CSGO you can sell that stuff off for in - steam money to buy a game.
I don't see how that's really comparable. But you can sell REQ items you don't want/use for points to buy more packs. You literally don't have to spend any money if you just play the game normally. The money people spend on REQs goes towards map development, all of which will be free for everyone, and funding HCS tournaments/prize pools.

Halo 5 is already a $60 game, which on top of that you have to pay a fee to play online.
I watched a lets play of the story, that's about as close to buying the game I'm gonna get.
Shame because the campaign itself is great, having more fun & cool moments in it than I remember having for the first 3 halo games But yeah the story isn't great. It build up good potential for the first 6 missions but kind of goes nowhere from that and doesn't explore the cool stuff investigated in all the marketing for the game Kind of an odd juxtaposition where the gameplay/level design/etc is awesome in single player but the story is underwhelming enough to sour the experience.
i honestly would agree if the req packs are money only but they are not. all you gotta do is play a game you love to get more. it isn't like you gotta spend 10 hours of your life for one pack either. infact during this whole argument i been playing halo 5 and im like 2 games away from a gold pack again.
Look. I'm sorry but no. I know what grind looks like, I still play fucking Mechwarrior Online. I played Planetside 2 when you got almost zero points for everything. I *know* grind. I saw that the ballpark numbers given from Angry Joe, that's not grind. That's mobile, "you'll only get this if you have no life or pay us" territory. And that doesn't even cover if you get duplicates.
Great and Mass Effect 3 had literally the same exact system yet everyone was totally cool with it
People talked shit about ME3's system all the fucking time. It was a fucking garbage system that had no place in the game. I played for fucking 200+ hours and never got a single gun I actually wanted to use, I was stuck using the base weapons for weeks because the game decided "Hey you never use shotguns, how about we give you all the shotguns in the game?" Random drop system in multiplayer games are fucking trash. I don't like them in singleplayer games either but at least there you aren't fucking over your team because the game decides "fuck you, you don't get to have fun or be effective".
Great and Mass Effect 3 had literally the same exact system yet everyone was totally cool with it
What? I remember everyone bitching about the ME3 system, as well as the MP being tied to SP the way it was. The consensus was that its fun but that was it, every other system is broken. And they brought into Dragon Age Inquisition and people went after that as well, including Angry Joe.
6/10? What? How did he not rate it lower? He didn't gripe about the story enough. Then again, I guess Joe doesn't really come across as the guy who cares as much for the SP.
Am I the only person who can't stand the skits in Joe's reviews?
It's a leftover 'style' from when he was on ChannelAwesome They are ALL terrible at sketch comedy. Only from what I've gathered; the single player is fun but ultimately too short and not focused on Chief enough; unfortunately that's not what his viewers really care about. His viewers no doubt wanted to hear a rant about micro-transactions in all forms no matter what because it's the new 'thing' to seem morally abstained from.
