Some video's load faster on 720p then 480p wtf? Ontopic, I really liked the video. Nice editing as well.
Yeah man I have no idea what thats all about. For some reason now all videos I watch on youtube play for 4 seconds then restart.
A little update for those interested - We threw together a teaser of Part 2^, and are looking to release the full thing in a few weeks time. I'd like to thank the people who watched in and subscribed or liked. It really means alot to those of us who made it!
It turned out really well =). But it cut out the music durning the credits =(
oh man are those red spots on the barrel on purpose? they look like toy guns.
......They are toy guns :)
......They are toy guns :)
ha, you guys need to grab a bottle of spraypaint and cover it up, throws off the theme.
yeah, sorry but that little tiny bit destroyed the immersion for me.
ha, you guys need to grab a bottle of spraypaint and cover it up, throws off the theme.
Yea we figured as much haha. But we just decided to roll with it for now and fix it when the full part 2 comes out.
And it was too big of a bitch to mask it out... Well, lessons learned.
You could always grab a pair of snips and and yank it off, always did that with my toy guns when I was a kid, not sure if they use a stronger adhesive though now.
Scrounge some boots, I didn't see any adidas originals in stalker :v: [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] Also the hat on the second guy looks silly [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] Costumes in part 2 teaser seemed a lot better, but get some heavier pants too. If you're able, use some editing software to reduce saturation (The blue jackets looked way too bright) and if possible change the colour of the orange tips. Get all the clothes dirty too, otherwise it just looks unnatural. [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] Also the guy running didn't seem to do so with a sense of urgency. If you're running under fire, you're fucking sprinting it, not taking a casual jog.
Where did you guys film this?

This is filmed in WA State. Pierce County.
Really cool, but I think you guys should've found a VFX artist that would be willing to work for free on your project. You would've gotten better color grading and additional effects. If I was working on this, what I would've done is to colorgrade it to match the dull palette of the game. And then perhaps add dust particles to scenes to put accent on areas with pockets of radiation. I would've even digitally removed the orange paint from the toy guns. If you work on a similar project in the future, let me know if you require someone with visual effects skills. I'll be glad to work on it, I need to expand my portfolio anyway.

With that said I'll take all the help I can get.
very very good! although I do agree it was uneventful, but still very well done, part 2 looks promising, cant wait!
Cool stuff. Try to get some older clothes or dirty and tear up what you're wearing now. You're a bit too clean for a seasoned traveler in an inhospitable environment.
In my area, all "toy" (not real) guns need to have that little red/orange tip or you'll get fined. [editline]a[/editline] Got around to watching the part 2 teaser. Excellent work. 2 things irked me, though - first was the muzzle flash. It seemed a bit overexaggerated. Might just be me. The other was already mentioned - it seemed like when you got shot at, you didn't have the urgency that, well, someone who was getting shot at, would have. Other than those two minor nitpicky things, great.
