Tornado, you must not actually own any property. And fuck off with the "believe to strongly", no, we just understand the concept of property that's been around since the dawn of time.
I believe that if you are just going to do jack shit with something for a long period of time
so say you have a bar of gold, you ain't using it 24/7 so it's rightfully mine. this arguement is absolute piss.
Squatting is a similar situation to stealing for food, it isn't right but you can sympathize why people do it.
I'm pretty sure I saw Tornado admit he was 14 once, so that might explain it. I may be thinking of another person though, so don't take my word for it.
Hell, our family has a rental house in a lower part of Cleveland, and we have a problem with the goddamn renters keeping the place in decent shape. This will now be the second time that we've had to go in and redo large parts of the house. My dads fed up and just going to sell the place for any amount he can get. And when it sat empty for a while ,we had burglars break in and steal the copper piping, and even the goddamn water heater.
I don't really understand what happened. Like, was it a tenant who was being evicted but wouldn't leave?
So is Fox 2 actually good?
I get that people in dire straights with the homeless shelters full really dont have a choice sometimes but i dont think we should be arguing that it's a good thing. That should be fixed by better welfare programs, maybe even a universal basic income, not justifying squatting. Also get that playing real estate can be destructive and wasteful but that should probably be solved with property tax rather than saying its fine to squat in empty houses.
Squatting is a very visible trend typically and can be an effective tool for demonstrating that change is needed. One of the issues with that though is that typically the people that can justify squatting morally (homeless and desperate) aren't the type of people in a situation where they can carefully plot out which home they can morally justify squatting in by looking up corp scumbags.
So is Fox 2 actually good?
Very few things are 100% bad. Then again fuck mosquitoes.
So is Fox 2 actually good?
local fox news is really great and just straight up news. The parent studio that is FOX NEWS is the shit super conservative and offensive news station.
Would have been a lot funnier without the semi-transgender snub near the end of it.
I watched it again to try and see what you meant - if you mean the whole 'Arthur' or 'Lynn' part, he was clearly trying to point out that the only piece of paperwork she had (a Postal Service change of address receipt) did not even have her legal, government-recognized name on it. He wasn't trying to call her out as being trans if that's what you interpreted, he was just prodding her to acknowledge that the paper proved nothing.
I can understand the reasoning behind squatting laws - make sure properties don't get abandoned, for instance. But then things like this happen and it's hard to defend them. It might be better if you'd have to go to local authorities, say "Hey, I'm claiming XX Property Dr because it's abandoned.", they'll call the owner's last known phone number/contact information, and if they're unable to be reached, you can have the property ~5 years after living in it.
At least Lynn wasn't a dick about the whole situation and I'm sure in the end moved out humbly. She didn't have to snitch on her neighbors though. I don't think squatting is a completely bad idea. But I agree with DemonDog, I think authorities should regulate squatting in some way to ensure the properties that are actually left abandoned can be put to use and that homeowners don't get their houses taken over after going on a month long holiday.

She was taken away in handcuffs presumably for trespassing.
