Can someone give me a non-biased list of things it does? All that I've heard is that it makes it way too easy and ruins the atmosphere.
Gameplay wise it fixes some of the known bugs, tweaks the ai, and adds "freeplay" Other than that, most everything goes towards changing the graphics and sounds to look more like a modern game (which some believe makes it look worse) I would just find an official page for it or something which should list all specific features.
I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete, and that mod on master difficulty is just as easy as vanilla on rookie, no joke. And the graphics? It adds greener grass, more vibrant world - which is not something you want. It changes the entire feeling to the levels. The grass in cordon for example is supposed to be more red, to feel dead like a warning for those who want to dwell deeper into the zone. I can't say much about the other areas in stalker complete because I couldn't get into that mod to play it that far. I switched back to AMK right away.
Fuck are you serious, A friend told me to use it on my first play through. I thought it was kind of easy after playing the hardest difficulty the entire game especially since I've heard constantly about how hard S.T.A.L.K.E.R is. He plays on rookie, with the mod, I should add.

Doesn't seem like that bad of a mod to me. In terms of gameplay it seems subtle and even improves upon the vanilla game. I guess my only problem with it would be the atmosphere ruining graphics although it does look pretty. Unless what I've seen on the official page is wrong, there's no reason to hate the mod that bad.

And people also say S.T.A.L.K.E.R is shit without complete. As hitler said in the video.

I agree that on your first playthrough in a game should be vanilla (unless there is something totally game breaking, e.g. lack of graphical settings, horrendous bugs, ect.) I just don't understand the reason why people say it makes it easy though. Unless there's something I'm missing it should have no effect on the difficulty.
I just don't understand the reason why people say it makes it easy though. Unless there's something I'm missing it should have no effect on the difficulty.
I am pretty sure it also rebalances the game so that even codfags can play the game without worrying.
I checked the official website and I didn't see anything about re balancing the game (or at least anything obvious) [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] ahh nevermind, checking the wrong site. Apparently the video is on a mod for a Stalker Clear Sky mod, not a Shadow Of Chernobyl mod [editline]again[/editline] Weird, on here it says this:
Clear Sky Complete is a part of the Complete mod collection, which is a series of modifications created by professional artists dedicated to enhancing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. The Complete mods focus on improving the original game’s graphics, sound, and atmosphere, while preserving its core elements. Built upon the success of STALKER Complete 2009 (which was downloaded well over 200,000 times), this entry in the Complete collection continues the tradition of aesthetically updating the game without changing the original story or gameplay. Fans can expect a polished and pure Zone experience designed around the most graphically demanding title of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky.
Because the author of the mod spews horseshit out his mouth.
I really need to check out the mod eventually. See if it is horseshit or not. Still need to reinstall and beat it. I tried it a while ago and couldn't get into it.
Meh, I told you They just rate me dumb without answering the question, but it's no surprise to me [editline]8th January 2012[/editline]
I am pretty sure it also rebalances the game so that even codfags can play the game without worrying.
Can you specify [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] I played both vanilla and Complete on Master and didn't notice any difference Are you sure it's not your mouths the horseshit is coming out of
I can see why someone would hate it because of atmospheric reasons. The game is very atmosphere based and makes up a huge chuck of the enjoyment but from what I've seen it has almost no effect on the gameplay. It has a few minor tweak but no to the point where Vanilla Easiest Difficulty=Complete Master.
Reducing the grenades available to NPCs to prevent "grenade spamming" Bandages and medkits heal and stop bleeding, and less bleeding in general All pistols now have ironsights Weapons now have real-life names Enabled trading weapons with NPCs, and NPCs now sell ammo and supplies Reduced military minigunner's vision distance Added the ability to carry explosives Corrected Bandit behavior so they won't mug the player if their player-status is friendly Increased flashlight output
Which shouldn't make it that easy.
Stalker is shit without mods. I tried complete and I really liked the game after that, I don't know why everyone complains so much over it.
I really liked how Complete made CoP really spectacular looking. Yeah, it was easy, and I ended up using the wish granter a few times to get me inside a safe area when an emission caught me in the open, but overall it was nice. Of course I played the vanilla first, and I'm going to try other mods in the future.
I've played the first two STALKERs with and without mods, the only mod either really needs is a bullet spread tweak to fix the hurrdurr im a smoothbore musket assault rifles.
