one step forward, two steps back. thank you microsoft for revolutionising the games industry ~~
Who cares about if the game will be a backstabbing simulator like DayZ? The real question is: when are they going to make World in Conflict 2?
I don't see what's wrong with the way they talk. My friends and I usually talk like that in games.
the game itself looks interesting but jesus fuck what a terrible way to show off your game
you and your friends are the minority hardly anyone uses tactical lingo in a videogame, most people just go "some bad guys up ahead shoot them on 3" instead of "TANGOS DELTA NINER, CHARLIE FOXTROT ON MY GO"
But they didn't talk like that in the demo. They were actually talking like you said, it was all like "hey there's 2 guys on the right can you get them Chris" and stuff like that.
The dialogue isn't that cringey. A lot of people do speak/behave like that, it's sort of an Eve player vibe. However, I kind of doubt that specific type of gamer would betray friends over something really trivial in the long run.

That betrayal thing though, that's more a thing you do with randoms, not friends.
what's with all these fake as fuck player dialogues recently
I think it's primarily Ubisoft's doing. If it's a Tom Clancy Co-op game then Ubisoft will cram in the most abhorrent dialogue it can.
I'm still interested in this but god damn it, PVP is a major bloody turn off for me. In the real world, this video would not have got to the end shootout with that cringe worthy dialogue, it would have finished when the 3 of them got shot in the arse less than 2 mins in.
Gotta love the token girl teammate that gets added in. Player voice trailers really need to stop.
~Kill everyone you come into contact with, The game~ looked so fun until DayZ part
Considering the game's futuristic nature, perhaps they could introduce a common findable item that can scan an enemy and display a sort of friendly rating. Ie: You take out a small PDA or drone that takes a little bit of time to determine hostility. Red if they tend to be hostile, yellow if neutral, green if non-hostile. Something like gaining better rep for killing bad players could also help deter folks from immediately shooting. This way you could have a system that discourages being a dick while also maintaining some of the exciting mystery during random encounters. edit: there seems to already bee some confirmation that there are systems to prevent scenarios such as the one in the trailer from happening:
"If you go rogue, the area gets notified of your location, there's a bounty on your head for other players to take you out, so it's a give and take."
I can be a bounty hunter aw yissssss
What was the other one? I remember one being really bad.
Rainbow Six Siege I know there's more but this is the only one I could think of. These dialogues are fake as fuck.

Which means that if you wanna stick to just co-op, you can just completely avoid all the PvP areas, which is really nice.
Actors trying to make realistic gamer chatter is such a massive turnoff for me. "Let's try not to pull aggro!" Fuck off. Everyone knows you're going to mute the voicechat anyway so you don't have to deal with whiny twelve year olds.

The only times I remember dialogue being even close to that in games is serious Planetside 2 matches. Otherwise its everyone calling each other hackers and generally shit-talking.

Ubisoft up to their old tricks again with Division. Graphical downgrade's all around, mostly with clutter that beautify the areas. Look plain and bland like an old CoD map now

While the darkzone idea sounds feasible, you just know the game is going to stick all the good loot in there and force you to enter the PVP shitfest it's bound to be if you want anything good. I hope they do have Co-op alternatives but i doubt it.

Everybody is going to go after the loot it gives, and everyone not in a group is going to kill each other. I've never played GTAV, but it's a standard practice in survival games.
God they better let you enter like, most buildings at least. That alone would make this game so so much better IMHO.
God they better let you enter like, most buildings at least. Part of what I enjoy about DayZ and DayZ-likes is that you have your popular loot spots buried within a city filled with tons and tons of buildings apt for hiding.
Also part of the reason that it runs and plays horribly. Imagine all of those tight corridors with a 3rd person camera.
Do you guys not remember previous gameplay where they raided a police station? So much criticism on an unreleased title...
If GTA V and practically every MMO ever taught my anything, it's that every player is not to be trusted and they will shoot on sight.
Giving an incentive not to go rogue will help that though. Big time.
This looks pretty cool, the fact that it's more of an RPG than a twitch shooter makes it interesting.
This game kinda seems like it's trying to do what Destiny tried but it looks like it's doing it better.
Giving an incentive not to go rogue will help that though. Big time.
What "incentive" can one give that doesn't completely defeat the purpose though?
