How did that guy stay like this for so long without being tired.
How exactly is Kinect "crap"?
See: OP video
See: OP video
Wait wait wait... You're saying a device is crap because of a game that uses the device is crap? Man, you're fucking stupid.
See: OP video
PC gaming is crap, just look at Farmville.
So how come the car did turn some of the time?
Fake
Don't blame the device for the shitty casual games.

The turns were too choppy to have been done by the computer

They look fairly automatic to me.
PC gaming is crap, just look at Farmville.
I agree, its all just about robbing nowadays.
In all serouisness though pc gaming is going down the shitter. Developers just care about getting all the money from consoles there are only a few realeases that are good on pc today.
Holy shit shut the fuck up. You did not have to say anything in this thread, you started the arguement by accusing other people of saying Microsoft sucks when not a single fucking person said anything negative about Microsoft itself.
Let's see here...
Hey is this where I come for the circlejerk about a product that isn't aimed at gamers that frequent this forum?

This does too, he came in third, not first.

There are plenty of racing games with tracks out there that don't require much more than holding the accelerate button.

No it's not. It's a great product with a semi-mediocre lineup of games. If anything it gets more of a bad reputation from people similar to the ones that have posted in the thread. The people said the same things about the Wii that are being said about the Kinect, and now the Wii has an awesome lineup of games for both casual and the "uber h4rdc0r3" players.

This year?
-NMH2
-Galaxy 2
-Monster Hunter 3
-Other M
-Epic Yarn
-Epic Mickey
-Goldeneye
-Donkey Kong Country
-Black Ops

Also I like how dumb ratings have become a common replacement rather than an actual discussion. If you think I'm wrong tell me why, try to refute my points please.

They aren't being encouraged to do nothing, in fact many times in the race the game encourages him to boost, do tricks, and accelerate. This is just another neckbeard trying to make the casual market look bad, and it worked, to an extent.

The past 10 years of gaming hasn't been all that challenging. Kids wouldn't be used to the challenges of Crash, or any other difficult game.
The days of Crash Bandicoot (which I fucking miss btw, i loved that game) made a nice amount of money for it's time, but today it doesn't. The bottom line is all companies are in it for the money, and this is what is going to make it.
and? The PC also has a shit ton of shovelware, yet it is still a great platform.

So what, you're accusing me of trolling? I'm not. I really do think the Kinect is an awesome piece of hardware, especially the way it works. I think people are hating on it for the wrong reasons, and as Chirno said, you guys seem to be hating on the Kinect itself, not the game. It can't help what is developed on it.

PC gaming is crap, just look at Farmville.
That's weird... I don't see Microsoft in his posts at all, are we reading the same thread?
I love how your blatant love of Microsoft turned the entire thread from a chain of funny replies to the video to a mild flame war just because you felt the need to defend Microsoft without even bothering to read the thread prior to posting.
I'd love if you could point out that "chain of funny replies, cause all I see is circle-jerk bandwagon hate towards the Kinect. I find it funny you talk about not bothering to read the thread when the first thing you point out in your post is something that hasn't happened.
Kinect as in the hardware is pretty good, but the games are pretty bad. When people say Kinect sucks they're usually talking about the game line-up.
More like, as with anything to do with consoles, it's just blind hate towards something they don't own and base their opinions on what the rest of the internet says. But of course, this is Facepunch, if it has to do with consoles it's time to rate box and ride the wagon.

Oh ha, he snip'd the post, good shit.

Kinect is crap because it's crap.
Oh ha, he snip'd the post, good shit.
I snipped it about ten minutes after I posted because I realized that it was just derailing the thread further. I know this post is ironic.
There are plenty of racing games with tracks out there that don't require much more than holding the accelerate button.
Clearly you've never played a badass racing game, like F-Zero GX. That game requires consistent human effort otherwise you explode.
Or what else, I haven't been too up to date on the Burnout series, but your car can get totaled in that can't it?

Clearly you didn't read the part were he said "there are plenty of racing games". He didn't say "every racing game you just hold accelerate"
Perfect, even paralyzed people can play

Sorry if I used the word "shovelware" incorrectly. I was referring to these games:

If you took a look at the Wii section of your local game store, then you'll understand what I'm talking about.

He was obviously referring to the kinect, which is a product from Microsoft. He doesn't have to be completely specific.

How do games that don't interest you mean that the Wii has more "shovelware" than the PC?
Clearly you didn't read the part were he said "there are plenty of racing games". He didn't say "every racing game you just hold accelerate"
Except those "plenty of racing games" aren't consisted of holding acceleration button the entire time. There are a lot of factors, such as damage (Mario Kart, splitsecond, Burnout, Blur, and F-Zero GX, mentioned by gnome), steering and braking (Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo).

True, the PC has a lot of useless point and click games. But I rarely see them.

Holy shit, are you fucking stupid? "Plenty of racing games" does not mean "the games that you play/have played" It means "There are games out there, whether you have played them or not, that you can just hold forward and win"
As for you quoting yourself, since you apparently used shovelware incorrectly, how about fixing it and tell us what you meant with something that you used correctly? Saying you were referring to "these" games doesn't tell me shit, what were you referring to them for?

Since he hasn't listed his own examples for racing games that are just 'holding the acceleration button, I am using my own experience of playing widely known racing games as an example to demonstrate that most of them aren't about 'holding the acceleration button'.

Are you that aggravated with my comments? By referring to ''shovelware'' I was referring to the low quality of games like these and how they clog up the Wii section of the gamestore.
tl;dr of this thread: kinect is great piece of hardware, but doesn't have good games and most likely won't have good games.
There's incredible potential with that device, but nobody uses it yet.

It's actually useful for things that don't involve gaming.
The coolest things about the Kinect are the things people are doing with it on their PCs.
Do this at a friends house who has kinect.
1. Act all hyped up before you play
2. Sit like this the whole way through the race game
3. Win.
4. Walk out the room after calling him a dumbass
So what you're saying is that, if your friend has Kinect, you should act like a douche towards him?
Are you that aggravated with my comments? By referring to ''shovelware'' I was referring to the low quality of games like these and how they clog up the Wii section of the gamestore.
You must not have a very extensive PC section at your local video game retailer if you think there are more of those games on the Wii than the PC...

derp he didnt give example so im going to say hes wrong by pointing out games that everyone knows isnt like that :hurr:
He could have finished first if he wasn't frozen today
