This is less cute when you realise he's doing the bird equivalent of fucking a sex doll.

Are cute non-talking birds allowed?

Don't know how to link the video directly.
Holy shit if I went to someones house and I heard this coming from their pet bird I would freak out
I imagine having one of them would be a lot like spending the day around a schizophrenic hobo. They just wander around in weird places muttering incomprehensible fragments and occasionally screaming all while making a mess of things.
Mynas are truly the best speakers. They're really good impersonators!

amazing.
Birds are super difficult to keep as pets and while they have their cute moments, they can be a massive pain in the ass to deal with.
Basically you spend all of your spare time seven days a week tending to a spoiled brat with wings until it gets used to you, and then every so often it'll do cute shit.
And even if it gets used to you, it may just never get used to anyone or anything else.
Also, something a lot of people actually forget about birds is that they're crazy fucking loud. It's hard to understand how loud a bird can be from just watching videos or hearing them from a distance - when you're right next to a parrot and it decides to suddenly screech at your face, your ears will get fucked.

when my bird gets on a screeching fit it legitimately hurts. i'm not talking like "aw, that's really loud, shut up bird" i mean that you feel physical pressure in your skull it's so loud. and high pitched.
if almost to prove my point i just turned my earbuds up all the way and searched youtube for some videos that would illustrate the feeling, but none of them even got close to loud enough.
my bird is so loud that people three houses down in their living rooms watching television can hear her screech, which she does frequently. it's gotten us in trouble with our neighbors lol, and being in the kitchen with her when she decides that the world is ending is like having someone smacking me in the ear with a golf club.
i'm starting to think these birds are actually surveillence cyborgs that record and play back audio
Cockatoo was owned by a couple that eventually got a divorce.
My grandmother had a cockatiel she called Tommy Tom, he used to whistle the adams family tune and wolf whistle. Could also say his own name, kinda.

Maybe I've gotten hearing difficulties but I'm pretty used to it by now. I can almost sleep through it. Luckily the walls here seem pretty sound proof so I haven't gotten any complaints (I've asked my neighbors and the landlord several times). Most of the time he's about 2 meters away from my head.
At first I had difficulties listening to things on youtube and what not while he was singing/screaming so I had to use headphones but now I don't have that problem anymore. When I have friends over I don't notice him singing really loud either while my friends tend to do. I think it just comes down to that some people are more easily annoyed by loud and or repetitive sounds while others aren't. If you are easily annoyed by loud and repetitive sounds don't get a bird. (not directed at BrickInHead specifically)
i cant get over "cuckatoo"

Imagine the auto-translate on that video. I dunno if it could beat "I am thine arm" or "I've got four bed rats", but it'd still be crazy.
I have two cockatiels named Otacon and Emma.
Otacon enjoys sneaking, chili peppers, and tapping on shit.
I love the little guys, I have some funny videos on my phone that I should upload here.

I have a lovebird.
Don't let the name fool you, they hate all forms of life.

Every time I see lovebirds in petshops they're scared clinging together in the corner of their cage.
Last month we obtained a cockatiel that flew away from its home and for some reason, it is extremely attached to me. It already knows what my footsteps sound like so it knows when I get home, leave my room, or go anywhere and it does not stop screeching until it can see me. It used to hate me at first then all of a sudden one day it wants to always be with me to the point where it would rather be in its cage than be with anyone else

Very typical behavior, they can also randomly hate someone with every fiber in their being for absolutely no rational reason.
