Yea and it only took 4 years to make the game remotely interesting or playable.

It's been in a pretty good place for a few years now.
The first year was rough (MMO launches always are) but it did fine since.
Battlefront is probably the only dice game that plays nothing like it's gameplay trailers.
The game looks good but plays like an iphone game.
I'd say it plays absolutely like its trailers if anything. I'm not blind to the games flaws, but the only thing this trailer is guilty of is being choreographed to make it seem like if you play you'll be part of a team.
So did the previous two, didn't they? I never was too fond of Battlefront in the first place, it was just the kind of game you play with your friends without really thinking about what you're doing. Nothing as deep as the Jedi Knight series for instance.
I still think it's funny that people are so desperate to defend the new battlefront that they'll try rewriting history about the first two as if they were games nobody really liked.

Uh no, I'm just saying that I personally didn't enjoy them. I find them boring as fuck, I'd rather play a game with enjoyable gunplay.
Then again I don't really like the new one either.
I don't really get why people hate this game so much. If you boil it down, the main appeal of ALL of the battlefront games has always been that they were star wars games, not that they had groundbreaking gameplay. The only thing slightly unique was the space battles, and even then battlefield 2142 came out a year later with a more refined titan mode. If you're playing battlefront, enjoy it because its cinematic and gives you an interactive cinema like experience. In the end its basically just advertising for the force awakens anyway.

I really want DICE to make/announce 2143 already

That's the thing. Battlefront was a star wars reskin of a game franchise that was already widely accepted as very good. It had a tried and trite formula that it doesn't disrupt and made only a few lateral changes to. This, on the other hand, is a game built on foundations that few wanted and apparently very few people enjoy. Also, people have named their exact complaints about this, did you just not read? There's no reason you shouldn't understand, even if you don't agree.
Also the very nature of the game being based on star wars meant there were character types and vehicles that were mechanically unique in the game world. Like, the droideka class or all of the ground vehicles either hovering or walking.

You literally said "so did the first two, didn't they? " as if we're all supposed to fucking come to the same conclusion as you.

I was talking about the fact it was casual and not very deep, not about whether people enjoyed it. Stop putting words in my mouth and actually read what I'm posting instead of making stupid assumptions.
Dude, for fucks sake, how is it not clear that were talking about relative depth here? No one here thinks the first two were extraordinarily deep. When they say the new bf has no depth, they mean it has NO DEPTH. Pandemic's games had less depth than the typical large scale class based shooter, yeah, but god damn it they had it in spades compared to Dice's. Which is the fucking point of the original post you quoted.
I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, I just misunderstood. It reads exactly like you just came in here going "but the game's were always shit so you shouldn't be disappointed about this" you may not have meant that, but that's how it fucking reads.

Not saying the games were shit really, a game can be casual and shallow yet still be fun to play, it's just not my cup of tea. I just don't see how depth is the issue with this new BF, for me it's rather the lack of content, the boring gunplay, the explosive spam, terrible balance and blatant cashgrabs and low-rank discrimination that does it.
That added to the fact that is branded as a continuation of a series of games that actually have a substancial meta game makes it all a lot worse.
Classes with restricted loadouts were the backbone of bf.
Yeah, I should have said "branded as part of the same series."
ME3 was fantastic though, and people know it, the last 10 minutes were just shit.
Kai Leng, the kid, the handling of Illusive Man, fetch quests (or even better, quests where you just scan a planet), Kai Leng, day 1 DLC, choices not mattering, Harbringer barely having any presence, the Tali photoshop, and KAI FUCKING LENG definitely don't make for a fantastic game in my eyes.
If you think Mass Effect 3 is fantastic, hey, more power to you, but don't pretend that the ending is the only thing that people take issue with in that game.
I really want DICE to make/announce 2143 already
Considering the clusterfuck that BF3, BF4, and Battlefront are, I'd rather Dice just leave 2142 alone, lest they butcher another beloved game.
BF3 and 4 may have clusterfuck elements but I wouldn't call them full-on clusterfucks.
I mean, they were games.
it plays like Bad Company imo. Everything feels plushy, soft, and on a swivel.

Battlefield 4 was unplayable for over a year and Battlefield 3 is a gimped version of battlefield 4.

saying it plays like bad company is an insult to bad company. BC was actually a good game series and BC2 was one of the best battlefields ever.
I'm still yet to see that destroyer crash in game - I've already played about 20 matches on Jakku and haven't seen it yet.
it plays like Bad Company imo. Everything feels plushy, soft, and on a swivel.
No it doesn't.

Maybe you should read what people post and say about the damn game then. :)
Battlefield 4 was unplayable for over a year and Battlefield 3 is a gimped version of battlefield 4.
Yeah, but bf4 head a decent amount of content on release, and bf3 a gimped bf4? What the fuck, what are you even trying to say here?
I really want DICE to make/announce 2143 already
Be careful what you wish for. DICE today isn't the same DICE that made 2142.

Eh I was pretty damn happy with BF4 so I could see them putting a bunch of love into 2143; I'd just be sad if they released it broken or really dumbed down in terms of mechanics. There better be titans in the base game and not as dlc :v:

It's good now? After they completely ruined Revan, Darth Traya, HK-47 and The Exile?
A lot of ME3 was awesome honestly; but the last 5% of the game was what killed me.
The Citadel DLC helped curb the pain of the ending and was honestly some of my favorite fan service in gaming
Last 5%? Everything was retarded in that game and the only decent thing was the barebones multiplayer that felt like it barely worked.

Yeah there is some bad stuff in the main game but I don't consider the whole game terrible as you do
