Maybe its just the angle, but it wasn't even close. Think this cat way over estimated its jumping abilities.

Don't cats fall safer from higher heights around 7 stories because it has more time to balance itself and land on its feet? [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] http://helix.gatech.edu/Classes/ME3760/1998Q3/Projects/Nguyen/
But the force would build up over time meaning the kitty would die
I find it worrying that so many people worry about the cat, but no-one worries when about 60 people break several bones in every TNL Fail Compilation.
But the force would build up over time meaning the kitty would die
There was this program where a cat who liked to hang out on the balcony railing and it had fallen from the 9th floor balcony and lived to see another day completely healthy. Twice.
Cats have folds of skin between their arms and legs that act much like a parachute. The farther the fall, the more likely the cat will not be injured as they have a terminal velocity and scoop up huge amounts of air resistance under their body. The general rule of thumb is 25 feet and up cats are more likely to survive falls because of this. The danger zone for a cat is below 25 feet and higher then 15 as that's the point when they cannot get enough air resistance to cushion the fall. edit- my numbers for the danger zone may be off though, but the rest holds true.
Is it okay? :(
It survived the fall, but died of heart attack shortly after :(
Wait so it's ok to throw my cat from the third floor or the roof of my house?
Wait so it's ok to throw my cat from the third floor or the roof of my house?
Yes now go do it quick! Remember to record everything and the upload it. [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] For the record, don't do it.
Wait so it's ok to throw my cat from the third floor or the roof of my house?
no, but it's totally okay if it jumps all by itself.
