They weren't blanks. Cops confirmed them to be 9mm.
Fun fact! There is such a thing as blank ammunition in a large variety of calibers.
You can always do what the bulk of the rest of the world does and not sell guns. 'Recreation' and 'self-defense' are not reasons for guns either. Killing things as sport is stupid Also, people can buy guns and shoot you while you shoot at them in 'self-defense'. It just makes shit like petty crimes dangerous as fuck, where in a country without guns, you would at worst get stabbed, and most likely live.
What? Knife wounds are pretty serious. I'd rather be shot in the arm than be stabbed in the arm.
Can this thread not be about gun control? Please?
he didn't. people in this thread are dumb. They were live 9mm rounds throughout the whole ordeal. [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] That isn't how guns work. Just a tip. You can't just fire real round then start firing blanks.
You're dumb. I highly doubt you own a firearm. Blank ammunition is the cartage of a live one, let's use a 9mm for example. The shell is real, as with both types of ammunition, what is loaded however is different, in a live round there is gun powered, wadding and an actual bullet. In a blank however, there is gunpowder and a shit ton of cotton wadding. The only difference between the two is, one has a cotton projectile that burns up as it is exiting the barrel, and the other has a metal projectile that actually strikes the intended target.
How does that analogy apply to people being able to buy guns for recreational use and to 'defend' themselves. There are plenty of sports that don't involve things which are deadly, and people who 'defend' themselves with guns will also get shot at. It's just people having some dumb idea of sport, and people feeling secure with their guns, when everything just gets worse. I really don't know how you can justify the stupid gun laws of America.
What about the black market? If you make it illegal for law abiding citizens to own guns, you're just giving those guns to the criminals. You cannot ban guns 100%.
What about the black market? If you make it illegal for law abiding citizens to own guns, you're just giving those guns to the criminals. You cannot ban guns 100%.
Please...I'm begging you. I can't take it.
What? Knife wounds are pretty serious. I'd rather be shot in the arm than be stabbed in the arm.
Unless you were hit with a low speed, low mass round like a .22. I would take a knife wound over a .22 wound. None the less usually damage from bullets is much less than that of knifes.
Nothing sucks ass more than being shot. Nothing.

Mainly because a knife can produce a much harder wound to repair than a gun shot, plus thanks to modern day wars, the medical industry is more suited for gunshot wounds than stabbing and slashes. Next time lookup what you think is correct before saying it.
Nothing sucks ass more than being shot. Nothing.
I lost a hand in a knife accident, and I got shot with a 12 gauge shotgun at a range once when someone dropped it. They had bird shot in the shotgun, so very little harm was done to me. I also got my hand reattached but i had to go through 2 months of not using it, and I had to go through a year of therapy. I think tiny little brass bbs that only go 2mms into the skin is a lot better than loosing a limb.

Point being, you're probably going to end up dead.
Please...I'm begging you. I can't take it.
Okay lets just comment on the guy shooting at the school board. "Wow what an idiot" /thread It doesn't work like that.
Please...I'm begging you. I can't take it.
Heads up: conversations are dynamic.
Wow, I thought it would be all blanks, I thought he was going to "shoot" one and then everyone would realize he is joking and start laughing. ;_; Also, death and gore isn't allowed.
I guess the media has no clue what that V means
I can't see anyone dying over there, they cut it out German TV said that it's the V for Vendetta sign
I guess the media has no clue what that V means
What does the V mean anyway?
Dude...do you understand that a magazine has to be LOADED with bullets first? Or have video games taught you differently? Cuz it's completely fucking impossible to load real bullets AND blanks into a magazine. God fucking dammit the rage.
I did that once but the gun jammed and I ended up with a live rimfire cartridge pinched in the extractor and an empty blank shell stuck in the chamber. that was a bitch to fix [editline]15th December 2010[/editline]
What does the V mean anyway?
V, the anarchist wearing the Guy Fawkes mask in the graphic novel V for Vendetta, would paint that on Norsefire propaganda. The knife would have to be reasonably large, and stabbed with a lot of force to KILL someone. 5 to 7 times more likely...? Wow, you have to be fucking stupid. That's a statistic pulled out of your arse, it's also total bullshit. [editline]15th December 2010[/editline]
What about the black market? Chances are people won't get a gun to go to mug someone if you have to go to that length to do it. Also, look at school shootings. Wouldn't have happened if not for those laws, or at least had the chance of it happening radically decreased.
The V looks an awful lot like the V that V makes in V for Vendetta.

You can't shoot live rounds with a blank adapter on. The shooter had a M&P compact 9mm. That's a short recoil action. It won't cycle without a blank adapter barrel. You need to learn how guns work. Regardless of all of that, he wasn't shooting blanks and it was confirmed. edit: or wait he was firing blanks now? well that doesn't make sense. Leaning to not even believing what the news source says cause we all know how good the media is at anything to do with firearms.

Wait, did he shoot a blank at the guy behind the desk? Because the papers were tossed up and the guy grunted and clutched his stomach. Was that some sort of reflex action or something?
Wait, did he shoot a blank at the guy behind the desk? Because the papers were tossed up and the guy grunted and clutched his stomach. Was that some sort of reflex action or something?
You have great reading comprehension
You have great reading comprehension
I just watched the video and I read the article and the first page and everyone said he was firing blanks.
Hmmm, looks like they updated the story on sky, sorry guys I'll edit it into the OP. Turned out he was firing blanks, I think the board member went down to the ground because he thought he was shot, though to me it looked like he was actually shot.
Thank god the only person dead was that crazy guy. A V with a circle around it? What the fuck? Borderlands much? Or is it V for Vendetta?
