Sorry but the camera work is just dizzying. I get why its good but the camera work ruins it. Also if this was a mosque you'd bet your ass more people would be vocally offended
To each his own, the camera work makes it awesome to me.

it feels weird to watch colin firth comit mass murder
Then put the answer in spoiler tags, that's why they're there
[sp]Samuel L Jackson's character gave out free simcards all over the world, and this is their first test of a hidden function of them that makes people within earshot go murdermode.[/sp] Don't click if you don't want the plot of the movie spoiled for you, obviously.
As with a lot of "one-shot" scenes nowadays, there are a few cuts, usually when someone passes in front of the camera. I like the use of a cut to actually make the main guy seem superhumanly fast at around 0:25. He goes from "recoiling from the blow" to "already in position and firing" in an inhumanly fast timeframe which helps keep the unpredictability and energy of the fight high.
Yeah, there's quite a few cuts: 0:25, as a man passes by the camera. 0:39, as Galahad collides with the guy. 0:51, Galahad pushes man past camera. At this point they switched to a stunt double for the organ throw. 1:46, a cut disguised as a very fast camera pan. 1:51, man with gun comes into view. 2:07, again, cut disguised as a pan. 2:14, speared guy moves past camera (and two people magically appear in the background). 2:34, cut as a dummy (for obvious reasons) is smashed into podium. 2:40, stunt double used for explosion and then cuts back to Firth. 3:09, cut as camera pans around. Still very impressive.
There's also a final one as he stabs the pole through the guy's neck.
Interesting to see an action sequence where the magazine capacities of the guns actually seem to play a factor, one tactical reload and three completely emptied guns. Usually those tend to be treated as infinite until a dramatic shift is needed, here needing to reload or swap weapons is just a part of the action.
You should definitely watch John Wick if you want action scenes with guns that have actual ammo capacities instead of bottomless mags. If it's not entirely clear to you, 15 shots was his ammo capacity. He would always reload after 12-15 shots.

Iunno, without context none of it has any weight and I felt it was just going too fast to focus on anything and it made it feel pretty over the top and almost cheap. Choreography was awesome and all that, but otherwise it wasn't anything really notable imo.
That was a marvelous performance, and Free Bird? Oh boy... Very good movie. - edit - I think the framerate is low on this particular video. I don't remember it being so choppy.
I just watched this movie because of this bit and the whole movie is fucking awesome. In this particular scene he didn't want to commit genocide but ended up doing it because of a plot point.
I just watched this movie because of this bit and the whole movie is fucking awesome.
Same here! It kicks ass. Can't believe I almost never seen this movie.
My god, that's crafty. Really clever use of the one-shot technique where they hide the cuts.
I tried doing a body count but couldn't due to the amount of kills plus the unconfirmed ones (throwing a guy into the benches)
I tried doing a body count but couldn't due to the amount of kills plus the unconfirmed ones (throwing a guy into the benches)
Exactly 40 people die at the hands of Firth's character. [thumb]https://i.imgur.com/hPgLzOe.jpg[/thumb] According to Firth's stunt double around a minute or so of action was cut. Hopefully it's something we get on the Blu-ray.
