They actually forced him to step down and he had to? Fucking. Disgusting.
indirectly; the hunger strike of one student struck a chord in the football team. had the football team not threatened to not play last night's game (which, the university wouldn't have given any less of a fuck if it wouldn't have costed them over $1M) but it's absurd
The ONLY one? Feminists, who you would be very hard pressed to find a right wing feminist, dominate in the west and are also the establishment in the legal system, schools, and the government. The president of the united states is a feminist, or at least toes the party line. And they've been the establishment in the west for over 40 years.
Two issues with your point: 1) What do you mean by 'feminism?' Do you mean sex negative or sex positive feminism, for example. If we talk about the actual tenets of feminism, then you'll find that the vast majority of the right support a good chunk of them (like equal legal rights of women, equal marriage rights, equal inheritance rights, etc.) The belief system referred to by 'feminism' is so vague and ever changing as to basically be useless. 2) Feminism isn't a political ideology. It's one single facet of an ideology. The 'left' are an amalgamation of many facets that come together into a worldview about how the government and society is best run.
You're right, it's not a political ideology. These kids, and I'm calling them that because that is the way they act. In university you participate in rhetoric - you try and convince people of a subject or ideal, provide facts and counter arguments. A part of rhetoric is understanding and listening to what other people think of your subject regardless if it is for or against your idea. Usually the conversation leads to some type of action. These "protesters" are just poor excuses for racist, sexiest, and idiotic people with equally stupid fucking ideals. Even then they can't even create their own ideas and have "Borrow" shit from past protests. They make demands and when someone try to open up rhetoric they don't want to talk. Then the bullying, shit-flinging, and name calling starts. I can't wait for these kids who have it fucking good - who don't know what it is like to be oppressed, don't know what it is like to be poor, likely have no fucking clue about the real world get real jobs. Try that shit at work and see how long your stupid ass is employed. People need to stop standing by when this stuff happens, they need to push back when it comes to these types of people. People are way to tolerant of this shit.
Shit.. After watching this video I'm starting to think that teaching Sociology or Political Science at the American universities is a pretty hard thing to do since everything you say will most likely be used against you, especially by the rich "oppressed" kids unless you're a hardcore progressive yourself.

Honestly scary shit if they can get that to happen to someone so high up.
Why can't we just tell them to shut the fuck up and fuck off. Can't stand watching them.
Why can't we just tell them to shut the fuck up and fuck off. Can't stand watching them.
People don't like being labeled as racist by large groups of people.

WE ARE THE VICTIMS. WE ARE THE OPPRESSED. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH, WAR IS PEACE, AND FREEDOM IS SLAVERY.
Isn't white priviledge blaming essentially racism? Getting advantages based on skin color is like the definition of undeserved advantage.

Allegedly, there's no video footage of it actually happening, during that parade where idiots threw themselves at the headmaster's car, a pickup truck full of rednecks drove by it and shouted 'NIGGERS!' Clearly, a very good reason to stop the entire parade and then go on a moral crusade against a man who had nothing to do with it or no power to stop/do anything about it. What are you gonna do? Call the police? 'These men in a truck drove by and called me mean names! My feelings are hurt!' When I lived in north carolina, which has more latinos and black people than where I live now, I got called fucking honky and cracker and white bread a whole lot. But you bet your ass I would have gotten my shit pushed in if I dared to say something back like 'spic' or 'nigger' to someone's face because there's a double standard there when it comes to people being racist. There's this stigma that you can't be racist against white people because there were white slave owners at one point in America. Not to speak about I dunno, the Ottoman Empire to speak of one off the top of my head, who had Romanian slaves, who were white people. So what the fuck? If that's the logic we're gonna use, we can't be racist against any collective of people who ever owned slaves. That cuts out a lot of people, including black people. 2. the second event was one student got hammered and stumbled their way into some kind of meeting where these special snowflakes were having and called them niggers. He was escorted off of the campus and not many other details about that student came out. 3. This one's weird, somebody smeared shit on the wall of one of the bathrooms in the shape of a swastika. Since there's no cameras in the bathrooms and nobody knows who did it, all anyone could do was just wash the shit off the wall. All this culminated in a giant cult of social justice warriors demanding a sacrifice for the great cause of social justice. And the headmaster of the school, who was white, him not having the power to do much when someone decides somewhere to be offensive towards somebody is enough to get him fucking sacked from his position. And having committed the heinous act of being born with not enough melanin in his skin, of course. They have the NERVE, the AUDACITY, to compare themselves to civil rights activists. They're actually equating this with the shit that they went through 60 years ago. They're wearing shirts that have like '1846, built on our b(l)acks' because sins of the father and muh victim complex. Then they fucking complain that the terrorist attacks in France are getting more media attention than their protest. 129 deads 300 Injured 80 of them are in a critical state. CLEARLY is less important than some rednecks calling you a nigger, a drunk kid doing that as well, and some jackass defacing a wall. Martin Luther King Jr. is spinning in his grave.
-snip-
The definition of first world Problems poor bugger got fired because he wouldnt let them reenact the Salem witch trials. Out of all the shit in the world to get worked up over its Halloween costumes,a hick yelling a slur, and someone making shitstika on a wall...Man its great there isnt Genocides ,civil wars ,and the Brutal oppression of race, class, and gender in other parts of the world that is far more important. Also no one thinks the guy who made the shit swastika is some hero who the fuck writes with their own shit other than the mentally deranged.
These students are just so desperate to be a part of something that matters that they resort to CREATING problems when they can't find anything to be a part of.
These students are just so desperate to be a part of something that matters that they resort to CREATING problems when they can't find anything to be a part of.
Yeah, they're college students, not working class 40+ hour a week laborers that are segregated- wait they segregated themselves based on race because that's not regressive at all. They're not getting hosed down in the streets with fire hoses or getting police dogs sicced on them. They aren't facing nearly any kind of resistance like the civil rights movement faced. They aren't even advocating anything. Their whole spiel is 'we're offended, and somebody has to burn for this'. With the rate this is going, I wonder when they'll start breaking out the emergency fire hoses to hose away the 'problematic oppressors on our campus'
especially by the rich "oppressed" kids unless you're a hardcore progressive yourself.
Please don't call them progressives or liberals, they're not, They fit into neither of those groups.
Are you having a stroke, lad?
I basically just repeated the shit they said in the video. You should watch it.
Please don't call them progressives or liberals, they're not, They fit into neither of those groups.
They're like the liberal tea party.
They are essentially acting like self-entitled assholes. With the "either with us or against us" attitude, i'm going against them because i don't condone sociopathic behaviour. I mean, you can inform me and enlighten me about your troubles/problems and ways to improve or fix said things, but you can't force me to change to your standards.
They're like the liberal tea party.
They're worse. People actually take them seriously.
They're worse. People actually take them seriously.
And the normal Tea Party didn't and doesn't get taken seriously? At the moment they're a bit dormant but they were a seriously popular and seriously controversial party in the past, with as much as 23% of support from the United States populace and members in Congress.
The damage done shutting down the government when the tea party was still a thing was an adverse, brash, petulant action taken on a national level. This type of group does the same sort of actions, yes, but on a smaller scale. So far these types haven't reached that point. And they won't. They hardly have the coherence and vision of ideals to maintain common groups amongst themselves, let alone any star members fit of affecting widespread political change. BLM already gets widespread hate on campus and, as of last week, in Seattle in general. Even among many people otherwise involved as activists. The student group came into the two busiest libraries on campus and shouted demands, made noise, and disrupted students on the day before midterms in the three biggest freshman prereq classes. Not only that, they blocked the major avenue used by ambulances to get to UW Medical Center and Seattle Childrens, forcing them to reroute and slowing down traffic for commuters. And half of them can barely mention what they're truly fighting for, and I know there's one who always wears childish bullshit like "sippin on white tears" EVERYTIME. Sure, some of these may be effective protest measures. But they either manage to not have a solid vision or plan, or go just far enough in crossing the line between productive protesting and actively disruptive protesting.
I didn't really see anyone outside of right wing media supporting them.
and left wing media bashing them, which is the same (inverted ofc) here. With most of moderate america wondering wtf is going on

I've seen it time and time again with these social justice warriors. It's only a matter of time before they turn on themselves and some prominent BLM protester is being burned at the stake for being a heretic.

We can't say this is both a big deal and also a naturally suicidal movement. I haven't seen this on my campus, but there's something attractive about being involved with this movement, and until it's fairly addressed I'm not sure if it will stop.
