And he just uploaded another one. I was going to make a new thread but the second half is pretty much the same.
so he made a positive video about VR, everyone got mad at him, and he caved into pressure and immediately rushed to make a negative one. what a fucking idiot
always got this weird sense with some crowbcat videos that they don't have any actual purpose or message to them the fact that he just reuploaded the same footage with a totally different meaning sort of explains a lot
Is Crowbcat the new way of saying "spineless fuckhead" on the internet?
How can one man get so much hate for uploading one video. :v:
How can one man get so much hate for uploading one video. :v:
It's kinda been boiling over for a while with this guy. I haven't really watched most of his videos but I remember when someone posted the TF2 video he made a little while ago there was some distaste for him already.
the title is a bit disingenuous when lone echo already exists
Crowbcat? Disingenuous? Never.
so he made a positive video about VR, everyone got mad at him, and he caved into pressure and immediately rushed to make a negative one. what a fucking idiot
I agree with almost everything said in the thread and this especially, but I really don't see a problem in most of his videos. Early on there were a lot of standard highlights of awkward/funny things, then there's the GTA IV vs GTA V video, which I mostly agree with because I had the same feelings when comparing those games. Your opinion may differ, that's ok. And now we get those mini-documentaries about Kinect, Ouya, Gabe & ep3, no man's sky, the amazing videos on Dead Rising (which made me buy the first game, a decision I don't regret), the TF2 one which just shows the things how they are, etc. Yes, there are nit-picky videos, and those that left a bad taste in my mouth. The deleted video about Sprint Vector made me want to scream "But there's so much more! VTOL VR! H3VR! ROBO RECALL! GORN! [...]!, and the replacement video just made me go ???, but I had fun with most of his content.
Crowbcat suddenly wakes up with the realization that only making intensely critical, hyper negative videos all the time earns you an intensely critical, hyper negative fanbase. Seriously, fuck crowbcat
I think he found a VR game he liked but everyone accused him of uploading a paid advertisement so he removed that game from the video to assure his viewers that he does not get paid to say good things.
Hmm, i guess i can check crowbcat off the list. What do we start to hate next, Albino? H3h3? Maybe dunkey or penguinz0?
I remember the hype with him when he released his 'GTAIV is better than GTAV' video was crazy, but it seemed like after the TF2 vid people started to realize how nitpicky he actually is. Couldn't say I was ever his biggest fan in the first place, the GTA one twists me the wrong way something fierce though. The lack of self-awareness in releasing a positive video is pretty funny, he really did not know his audience in that moment.
The GTA one was full of shit too.
Crowbcat is funny when he shits on a game that's universally known as a failure or garbage but as soon as he starts touching games with even a modicum of good things about them he just shits the bed due to the amount of nitpicking he has to commit to. He can't put together any sort of legitimate criticism of a anything either because he mostly focuses on the outer layers like graphics and community management.
Hmm, i guess i can check crowbcat off the list. What do we start to hate next, Albino? H3h3? Maybe dunkey or penguinz0?
It's not like it isn't warranted. It's really embarrassing that people try and play the 'hivemind' card whenever someone actually deserves criticism

Crowbcats videos have been crap from day one, click-baity tripe that only appeals to the /v/ "all-games-are-bad" crowd. Like this video, I think most people agree that lootbox and cosmetic unlocks are overdone and shady, but his videos are so over-dramatic, preachy, self-righteous and pretentious that they cannot be taken seriously.

Seriously, you're embarrassing yourself mate [editline]21st February 2018[/editline]
The video has a point but its so needlessly melodramatic it comes off as almost satire. Just like a lot of CrowbCats videos.
I stopped paying attention to CrowbCat after he made that video comparing old and new tf2 that could be summed up as "WOOOoooo THE LIGHTING IS SLIGHTLY BROKEN! AND PLAYERS DROP AMMO NOW!" while ignoring genuine problems with the current game. Sadly people eat his shit up like with the Switch video that convinced a lot of people that it was a broken mess at launch.

Haha he thought he was allowed to like things after gathering a fanbase that doesn't like anything That's silly

At least that's what I get out of them.

Can't you just accept that more and more people are seeing through Crowbcat's overly dramatic smokescreen?
But that's why they're funny? At least that's what I get out of them.
The issue is that he doesn't frame it as just a joke but as how it actually is when more often than not he's massively overinflating insignificant details.

While the lightining isn't by far the only problem, TF2 at launch was one of the most polished PC multiplayer games you could play. From the presentation, to the mechanics, to map design, world building, etc. you always felt that one aspect of the game had been worked and polished to near shine (barring the typical game bugs/exploits). I really think that video really shows the lack of attention that TF2 team started giving to the game along the years, without even having to resort to balancing issues or shitting on hats for the 500th time.
