This isn't "cringe". It's unadulterated over the top badassery.
it's objectively fucking awful
all those people desperately clinging to the idea that "it's meant to be bad! cheesy B-movie homage! it's actually really good!" need to stop lying to themselves
NO FUN ALLOWED

idk there's a legitimate niche of people that actually enjoy weird and underdog games (see: me). i might seriously give this a go one day from start to end
Boy am I glad that this shitty game got all the publicity it could ever need! Can't wait to cringe as it sells incredibly well because it is an edgy 14 year olds wet dream
You realize you're being the edgy tool for taking it seriously, right?

Seriously! It's no fucking different from Postal.
I literally thought the ending would be exactly this. Him nuking the world. Wow.
That was predictable and unoriginal as fuck honestly.
If you're going to be edgy, at least try to seem like the story wasn't a huge cashgrab.

What does this even mean. People didn't buy this for the story.
I don't understand the bandwagon behind everyone hating this game. It's a nonsensical, violent, over-the-top, hilarious, time burner. Who doesn't fucking love games like that? You all act like you played Postal and never ran around beheading people pissing on their corpses as people scream and run away. It's literally the same fucking thing.
Hell, I'd consider all the nude model posing in gmod to be a million times more cringeworthy than this.
it's dumb and campy, but not worth being upset about, people need to chillax
"I get really upset when people in video games die." - idiots

Speaking of Postal, that's what this ending reminded me of since Apocalypse Weekend also ended with you blowing the shit out of your town after murdering everybody in sight.

I wouldn't say I take it seriously because let's face it, the subject matter is obviously meant to be laughably extreme. What I am shitty about is the fact that the game looks bad, not even in a passable bad way, but just bad. It's like a flash game that got out of hand. By all rights it shouldn't sell at all, but it will because they somehow managed to position themselves in the ultimate hype spot, between overblown reaction against and overblown support for.
Even as a pastiche of Postal it sucks. Totally lacks the comedy which underpinned Postal.

underpinned postal 2, the first postal was very humorless
underpinned postal 2, the first postal was very humorless
First postal was self-aware enough to stop you in the end though.
First postal was self-aware enough to stop you in the end though.
the end was also a straight up kindergarten slaughter which to me is far more disturbing than this end

An attempted one, at least.
[sp]Postal guy tries to shoot the children, but his bullets don't work, and the sound of laughing children grows louder and louder until he passes out, then he wakes up captured by the police, while a news person talks about how he'll be experimented on to find out why his mind is fucked up for the public good.[/sp]
It's also pretty much said in the manual that he thinks the world has been taken over by a "rage virus", and he needs to cleanse it, as well as the between-level screens looking like this:

Postal 1 is a really entirely humorless game. Even the Postal Dude voice (Who's implied to be a hallucination, since his audio files are stored in a folder called "Demon"), while still making jokes, says some really fucked up stuff. He outright says "They never liked you." just totally at random.
Postal 1 is fucked up and not funny at all. I honestly would call it a horror game with some very very dark humor elements, it's deeply unsettling.
I can't believe anyone would still think this is a serious "murder-sim" after watching the end. It's hammier than a fucking butcher's shop and I love it for it.
im fairly certain the devs are 100% serious and arent going for the b-movie angle at all
i really, really doubt the devs were being serious when they made you have to guess the code and it happens to be 666
kinda related to the postal 1 and 2 comparision going on: the playstation 1 version of doom and doom64 both had completely different audio/visual presentation compared to id's original iteration and it's interesting to compare them side-by-side.
doom64 is basically a simple but atmospheric and dark fps - doom 1 just feels overly bright compared to it
The rest of the world is still alive. You had one job, one job.
Aside from the framerate drop, that explosion effect was actually really awesome

I'm pretty sure the story was never marketed to begin with (was there even one??). I always thought it was just the dude saying "time to kill shit" then running out to demo the new weapons/executions in the trailer.
Damn pretty impressive that he can still manage to hit the button after taking 60 bullets to the upper chest.
Damn pretty impressive that he can still manage to hit the button after taking 60 bullets to the upper chest.
that's not blood flowing from his body
that's hatred

that last execution of his sure did come in handy
Damn pretty impressive that he can still manage to hit the button after taking 60 bullets to the upper chest.
pretty damn impressive that he can still internally do a another brief and dry monologue after being at the epicenter of a nuclear explosion
10/10 best game of the year - IGN
RIP in peace Not Important
???? - 2015
Still better than Call of Duty

"I was offended"
-Polygon, 7/10
Actually, i think the devs might put use a Polygon quote if Polygon puts out a review, just for shock value.
This ending is what I envision the ending of the original F.E.A.R. would look like on lowest graphics
Imagine the sequel where's Not Important just comes out alive with no explanation (because not important), says something like "Filthy humans................... I'm not done yyyeett"
after that you go for the real nuke for the entire world
