I don't think arcades could reel in enough profits to make those games profit, now that development costs are so many hundreds of times higher than they once were.

I'm sure once the rift comes out there will be plenty of people willing to play with a rift and hydra, but then you'd have arcades for the people who either can't afford that or want a better experience.
