Some of the lines really left a bad taste in my mouth, I'm sick of hearing the same old "I can give you what you want" blah blah blah crap, cliche ass lines.
Every movie has at least one or two cliche lines, and they always happen to make it into the trailer. Probably because they're a quick way of giving the audience an idea of the situation without wasting time with some huge speel. 5 days TOO LONG!
I'm going to assume that this is Duran.
Nope, some new guy. The trailer had great CGI, but horrible lines. "The answers you seek lie within!" Come on.

Ah. Alright.
Nope, some new guy. The trailer had great CGI, but horrible lines. "The answers you seek lie within!" Come on.
Are you kidding he's a Protoss it's his job to speak stiltedly
All StarCraft 2 is just unit spam with pretty colors.
Indeed, the gameplay focuses around who can spam the most units faster rather than how you use them strategically. /sarcasm
What was the last song in the first trailer? The really epic one when shit starts going down? I love epic music. And blizzard. And starcraft. I've had my collector's edition pre ordered since the day pre orders were announced <_<
Name a single movie, television show, video game, that does not have any cliches. Elaboration enough?
But the trailers for Starcraft 2 had more cliches than the entire first game. I don't want Blizzard to go down the "dumb down for little kiddies" route that a lot of modern video game developers are going. Sure, it might get more sales, but then the companies will lose the respect of the gamers who felt swindled. i.e. Spore and Invisible War

pickey dickey
:aaaaa:
Trailer looks amazing. Never played the first Starcraft, might have to check this one out for both the game itself and the map editor. Too bad I don't have the money to get it.
This is the most cliché trailer I have ever seen. Every scene is copy from other movie trailers, but it doesn't mean it's bad.
I always felt Starcraft was always SO much better than the Warcraft series. I've been trying not to follow Starcraft II much, but I'm so glad I watched this trailer, it's literally a dream come true. Thank you Blizzard! Oh, and luckily I just earned $70 for random assorted jobs (car wash, mow lawns/other gardening, etc) over a couple of weeks, so it wasn't very hard to do, only a couple hours here and there, and now I can afford to buy this!
Name a single movie, television show, video game, that does not have any cliches. Elaboration enough?
Yeah but like every single line spoke in this trailer is super mega cliche, like the basic cliche for any writer just starting out.
It doesn't mean every line will be that cheesy.
Name a single movie, television show, video game, that does not have any cliches. Elaboration enough?
"Whose Line is it Anyway?", "Dinner with Andre", and "Pac Man". Do I get a prize?
Yeah but like every single line spoke in this trailer is super mega cliche, like the basic cliche for any writer just starting out.
Post-modernism for you.. Nothing its becoming original any more but a mere simulacrum :)
I miss the non-cliche one liners and speeches from Starcraft. No one uses cliches while speaking. Seriously.
Why are you guys rating me dumb because I don't like a game. What the fuck. Can't a person not like something and not be rated dumb and respected for his/her opinion. Goddamn hypocrites up in this shit.
We're rating you dumb because you're deliberately coming into a StarCraft II thread saying you don't like it, you retard
Im not sure what their doing with the campaign I just hope they stick to the three part terran/protoss/zerg style of single player
It's Terran only campaign. There are going to be two more expansions each one focusing on one of the other races campaign and introducing new units to the Multiplayer, they're all intertwined. The order of expansions goes like this: Zerg (Heart of the Swarm) and then Protoss (Blades of Aiur). I think those were the names.
I want this game, but I suck at RTS games. I can't even beat the first Starcraft. :saddowns:
Kerrigan is fucking hot. :smug:
Kerrigan is fucking hot. :smug:
She doesn't look like a raging slut now! Seriously, Blizzard made her look like such a whore somehow.
Not the best game trailer I've ever seen, but most certainly amazing. Too bad I'll be in greece when this releases. :saddowns:
uuuhhghghgh the only gripe I have with this is they made raynor look super generic action hero (apparently some others feel the same way because it's on the front google page lol) old jim rip
uuuhhghghgh the only gripe I have with this is they made raynor look super generic action hero (apparently some others feel the same way because it's on the front google page lol) old jim rip
Well it does take place, what, 3...5 years after the Brood Wars? Besides, Kerrigan doesn't look like a slut anymore either, even though you only see her human form for a few seconds in the flash backs. No one will look the same because they advanced their technologies since 1996 and they now have a better vision of what Starcraft is.
i have to admit i never really followed up on the starcraft lore much neither did i play the game a great deal but watching this trailer, im going to get the first game and play it all the way through now! ( and ofc buy the 2nd )
