Voice acting in Blizzard games are so freaking epic.
And here I was having second thoughts about my Collector's Edition pre-order. That trailer washed away all my doubts.
Oh damn that gave me a boner.
God damnit 5 more days!
uuuhhghghgh the only gripe I have with this is they made raynor look super generic action hero
(apparently some others feel the same way because it's on the front google page lol)

Kerrigan gave me a massive boner

Yeah Terran are kind of hard to get good with. I was a Terran player in 1 but now I've gone Protoss.
it's not that terran are hard to get good at, I just prefer playing with Protoss and Zerg. Dark Templars tear everything up until they get detected
Does every single marine look like that huge, tough-as-nails man? Shame they get killed like flies in the game.

Well it does take place, what, 3...5 years after the Brood Wars? Besides, Kerrigan doesn't look like a slut anymore either, even though you only see her human form for a few seconds in the flash backs. No one will look the same because they advanced their technologies since 1996 and they now have a better vision of what Starcraft is.
ah I didn't know that
yeah so he's older but the facial features have changed a lot - overall his face is more angular
its not going to stop me from enjoying the game but it's a shame to make him look so generic
Well it does take place, what, 3...5 years after the Brood Wars?
I believe I remember hearing something saying it was 4 years.

Oh, and luckily I just earned $70 for random assorted jobs (car wash, mow lawns/other gardening, etc) over a couple of weeks, so it wasn't very hard to do, only a couple hours here and there, and now I can afford to buy this!
Yeah i've been mowing lawns purely to save money up for this game. Hopefully I can preorder it today.

I think he looks fine.
I don't know anything about Starcraft except that it's an RTS game. I like CnC and SupCom so is Starcraft kind of like those?
God fucking damn
I was worried that this one was going to have a boring lackluster campaign like the previous Starcraft. I'm pretty sure that's not that case after seeing this.
Cool movies, poor gameplay. I don't really like the what the gameplay videos have shown, it doesn't work for me.

It's even more intensive in terms of managing economy and manuvering effective forces, counters and strategies.
It's very VERY deep and intricate.
i have to admit i never really followed up on the starcraft lore much neither did i play the game a great deal but watching this trailer, im going to get the first game and play it all the way through now! ( and ofc buy the 2nd )
Use cheats (in certain spots) to breeze through the first one (and it's expansion) if you just want the big storyline and be brought up to date.
wow this looks like a trailer to a cgi movie, and if it was a cgi movie i would buy it instantly because it looks that good.
Also aren't the protoss and terran allies now? I never played the first starcraft but I read up on the story on the wiki. Doesn't seem like the protoss play much of a role with the terrans besides being confusing mentors. "The answers you seek lie within, chosen one"

What what WHAT?!
That was the best damn campaign for any game I've ever played my entire life!

RIP unibrow
I hope he doesn't get all LOUD AND PROUD in the sequel.
Raynor looked like Jack Black in 1

It's only Raynor's Raiders. The Dominion and the UED are still kinda dicks.

I'm not sure I can say the first game had terrible story. Though I will admit that they could have told it a little better. But even still, with the technology available at the time, I think they did an outstanding job considering.
Games age by technology, not years, and Starcraft: BW was one or two technologies beyond other RTS's of the time.
The only thing that bothers me is that they said Stukov won't be returning in Starcraft 2. He was my favorite character.
Blizzard really should make some CGI movies.

Dead people have a tendency to do that.
Good god,to me,the bits with the marines up-close look WAY too good for this not to be an FPS.Thanks god for the Galaxy Editor, since we can make them.

I played something similar in the beta but honestly it's not looking very promising due to the fact that the map maker would have to rewrite a LOT of the engine since SC doesn't recognize bullet collisions for example, it makes no difference to it if you are pointing your gun upwards or downwards, it makes no difference weather there's a cliff or a building in between you and the enemy. All that stuff would need to be custom made (if it's possible at all). People are probably better of making an entire new game.
