That was an amazing trailer, but I can't help laugh every time I see their armor. It looks so ridiculous.
Dead people have a tendency to do that.
He's not dead. In a bonus map you find out that he was resurrected and infested by a Zerg cerebrate. Raynor then cures him and they escape together.

Oh well, they did say that there's a chance Stukov might show up in the other campaigns. I doubt it though.

That was fucking awesome.
Wasn't gonna preorder...
Will now.

Is that canon or was that some fan-created map?
No I'm not a troll, and this trailer convinced me that Blizzard can't do good CGI for shit and can't make a good story at all.
Go back to your bridge k?

Twas only in the N64 version.
Twas only in the N64 version.
Doesn't change the fact that it is canon, or rather "semi-canonical" as it has been referred to. Whatever the case may be Stukov most likely isn't coming back.
Someone needs to make a Warcraft 4 map with the SC2 editor.
Would be badass.
Am i the only one smelling world of starcraft?
I'm heavily considering buying the game, but for the more expensive than normal PC game, will the Terran campaign be quite long for what we've seen in RTS's?
Am i the only one smelling world of starcraft?
Yes. The only MMO, aside from WoW, that Blizzard has admitted to be working on right now is an entirely new franchise and universe. They haven't said much more than that though.

I dont know if i should be happy about this or not.
Its good that Blizzard actually works on a new franchise because well, they have barely worked on anything new the last five years or more.
But i am not exactly sure that i want to see another MMO take up all their time so that they can not work on actual games, like Diablo 3 and such.
Sweet Jesus.
If they took the Starcraft Story and those CG effects...
movie plz.
When I first saw this, I was thinking, holy shit, Starcraft Movie.
Also, i want a goddamn Starcraft RPG, or a Starcraft FPS!
Also, i want a goddamn Starcraft RPG, or a Starcraft FPS!
Both are possible with Starcraft 2. Though a SC2 FPS won't be very realistic.
I never played starcraft before, should I play this ?
Only if you play RTS games or are a Blizzard fanboy.
Or if you have any common sense.

Never played the N64 version.
Only bonus mission I was aware of was the protoss one in Brood War.

Well then make one when when it comes out.
WHY! WHY DOES THIS AND NS2 COME OUT A DAY AFTER EACHOTHER!
Its too hard to choose what to play more!
NS2 alpha.
I'm heavily considering buying the game, but for the more expensive than normal PC game, will the Terran campaign be quite long for what we've seen in RTS's?
30 missions
If they came out with a World of Starcraft, I would probably cave and play it, only to be able to play a zergling.
30 missions
If SC1 was any indicator the missions will be long and difficult
Am i the only one smelling world of starcraft?
Hahahaha... yeah no...
That was an amazing trailer, but I can't help laugh every time I see their armor. It looks so ridiculous.
Personal robotic combat suits painted blue with an orange visor looks ridiculous? By ridiculous do you mean ridiculously awesome? Or would you rather them run around in skimpy jumpsuits.
I played something similar in the beta but honestly it's not looking very promising due to the fact that the map maker would have to rewrite a LOT of the engine since SC doesn't recognize bullet collisions for example, it makes no difference to it if you are pointing your gun upwards or downwards, it makes no difference weather there's a cliff or a building in between you and the enemy. All that stuff would need to be custom made (if it's possible at all). People are probably better of making an entire new game.
So you're essentially saying they were lying by making that 3rd person demo? I don't think they'd openly lie to their fans like that, it isn't really their style plus it would be sort of stupid. I think you may be missing something, the bullet in 3rd person may be a unit or an object of some type different from the usual bullets fired by the normal engine. I don't think it will be that tedious, being a developer myself.
bug season is almost open boys...
I was in the SC2 beta, played thirty games but could never get into the groove. Still haven't finished SC1, and no I don't hate RTS's.
I'm not an RTS kinda guy, but have fun everyone who is.
Trailer was awesome, though.
RTS games are my favorite type of games
As bad ass as this looks I think I have to stick to not supporting Activision-Blizzard anymore than I already have. I have always been partial to DoW anyway, although I will say it looks like they developed the storyline of one race enough to mostly justify the split into 3 separate games. Mostly.
