I don't know, if i'm a parent and my 7 year old comes up to me and asks to jump a 20+ ft ramp; no matter how skilled he is im not going to say yes.
I remember I wanted to go up onto my apartment rooftop and do parkour/ninja moves when I was a kid, if my parents thought I should follow my dreams I would probably be very hurt or not even here.
This is obviously a divided subject but I mean, the fact you think I'm dumb for wanting kids to be safe so they can actually grow up is kind of silly. Stuntmen are pursued because the job is extremely dangerous and stuntman deaths are not an uncommon thing. Letting your 7 year old do one of those kind of extremely dangerous stunts is just a lack of forethought in my mind.
That's all.

You're insisting that letting the kid do the jump at 7 is "dim witted" while 10 would be "perfectly fine" but you haven't provided any justification as to why that is.
I get being worried for your child's safety but that doesn't explain why your concern disappears as soon as the child turns 10.

Imagine comparing flipping around on your roof to training for bike jumps over a long period of time and thinking its even remotely similar
I'm pretty sure he has practiced this jump before hand because who would let a seven year old do that without being sure that they can do it and then film it
I'm sure he has too, but that's not what I'm getting at. I'm saying at his age his growth plates still have a ways to go, if he didn't ace that jump (like he did) he could have very easily broken several growth plates, which could necessitate surgery, and possibly stunt his growth.
While very cool, I still feel it is an unnecessary risk to put a kid of his age at.
this kid can ride a bike better than I can walk
