I reaaalllyy need to see The Winter Soldier.
I've heard it's one of the better Marvel films out there.
I'm a fan of the Marvel movies (never read the comics, though), and enjoy just sitting down to watch them every once in a while.
But The Winter Soldier is one of the only ones that legitimately had me at the edge of my seat while watching it, and kept me guessing at what would happen next (and it proved my guesses wrong several times). I've never quite had that experience while watching a Marvel movie for the first time since.
the reason why marvel movies work so great is because they are divided into sub genres each one of them. They all appeal to the comic and normal movie fans but find their own new fans by being fantasy themed (thor), science fiction (guardians, iron man), espionage (winter soldier), heist (antman) and so on
Marvel's also got epic as fuck netflix shows
The actual Civil War arc starts off really well and is genuinely super interesting, until the plot goes bananas and literal Nazi idealism starts showing up.
And then 99% of it is forgotten in future comics, even the good parts like [sp]Cap being assassinated, making Tony have a mental break down.[/sp] or [sp]Spiderman unmasking himself... which unfortunately leads to One More Day, which involves no one in the Marvel Universe, not even people who are FUCKING MAGIC to be unable to fix a gunshot wound.[/sp]
The action scenes are bloody great, I highly recommend it.
Cool credits as well

Last time I took up on a Facepunch user's film suggestion it was MI: Ghost Protocol, and it was horrible.
But I'll take up on your suggestion. It better stand out from the format that pretty much all Marvels follow, but it's probably just another big nothing.
daredevil, jessica jones

I haven't seen Jessica Jones ayet, but Daredevil was aweomse. Wilson Fisk was portrayed in an interesting way.
Captain America is one of those morally righteous, oh-so-good patriots so it seemed obvious he'd be all for good old America calling the shots. Stark is a maverick, he plays by his own rules, he doesn't like to be bound by rules and regulations and instead relies on his own judgement. So he'd want to be more free.
The whole point was the Captain America is for America, not the American government. If he believes something is right for America, but the government says "no," he's still going to do it. He's not for America calling the shots, because he's seen the very obvious harm in can do, especially since Winter Soldier revealed that [sp]Hydra is very much alive, and has infultrated S.H.I.E.L.D. and the U.S. government.[/sp]

I don't think you've seen an actual horrible film before.
I tried watching Daredevil. It felt like watching any prime-time cable TV like CSI, or NCIS or what have you. It couldn't get me excited/intrigued in the first 20-or-so minutes, so I abandoned it. :/
I probably should have given a few more episodes a go, because it seems to be highly acclaimed. Maybe I'm just growing tired of Superheroes in general tbh. If only they weren't all like "Pegi.. twelve!"

Daredevil is not kid friendly, if thats what you're getting at.
[sp]explicit car door decapitations dont sit well with kids.[/sp]
"Pegi.. twelve!"
lol yeah you should probably watch more
also Jessica Jones for sure
You have a Hannibal avatar but complain about DD being CSI tier quality???
lmao

Don't forget, a guy literally [sp]HEAD BUTTS A SPIKE IN HIS FACE BECAUSE IT WOULD BE WORSE TO GET CAUGHT BY THE VILLIAN.[/sp]
And I really love how Kingpin is handled. He's ridiculously sympathetic. Kingpin was always my least favorite villain, but I love this kingpin.

I think you've become jaded in general and should take a break from entertainment.

And? Like as if I hold Hannnibal to some absolute highest regard, and would not find anything to criticize about it??(?) Perhaps I like the scene, or the character, or the actor in other series too? You may never know.
So, lmao to you too pal. Also sorry for comparing DD to your usual cable TV series, definitely undeserving, like I said it's probably just me who's getting tired of Superhero shit in general. Especially the Marvel movie productions, most of which don't really work on me, and are arguably quite mediocre stuff.
Plus, no time in the world to watch all of 'em, series and movies combined.
If you don't like it, fuck off. I mean, there's really no other way to put it. Those of us who do are trying to have a discussion. I was actually reading this thread for something other than some stick in the mud dickhead going "hey guys the thing you like is mediocre at best"
I find the role swap between cap and iron man interesting, and I was actually enjoying reading people's take on it until you showed up with nothing at all to contribute.
Regardless of discussions about quality, Daredevil isn't anything like any of the MCU movies stylistically.
Marvel is doing great these days, Jessica Jones is fantastic.
but where is spider-man
i swear to god if they save him for the post credits scene i'll

Gotta keep him secret for another trailer.
Then he will suddenly be everywhere, including posters, tv spots and magazine covers.
i love capt so much literally my favorite hero from MCU

Wait for the superbowl.
Fucking love that trailer music
I hope they never show Spidey in a trailer, black panther is already enough
I hope they never show Spidey in a trailer, black panther is already enough
Not showing Spidey just seems like a bad business plan. It doesn't have to be long, it could just be a 10 second clip.
He could be referenced
is it just me or was this trailer edited badly? listen to how sharply it cuts off when she says "do you really wanna punch your way out of this", also a lot of the dialogue chosen seemed really awkwardly slotted in
He could be referenced
If the cast list on IMDB is to be believed, he'll definitely appear in it. It also has Aunt May listed as a rumoured character.

Have you actually watched Hannibal?
The first half of Season 1 might seem reminiscent of CSI but the 2nd half of S1 plus S2 and S3 are 90% focused on the development of the main characters and progression of the story rather than case a week shit.
