The 'AKs' are usually hunting rifles, they shoot them in the sky for a bit of a show-offy kind of thing. It's not safe, but they do it anyway. As for the crazy driving, that ones real common throughout the entire region. Police would usually fuck these guys over but I guess they went to a not-so-monitored part of Saudi Arabia.
