This will be so fucking awesome, I loved Deus Ex and I will probably love that game.
That trailer alone is more awesome than most movies released the last couple of years.
i fucking swear if the original deus ex song isn't in this i'll sue
Alright I rewatched the trailer after a day, I think it would be better than the original 3 minute one if they had done a few things:
Included the smooth scene transitions near the beginning, like when it says "The year is 2027" it jumps from one scene to the other without the transition it had earlier
The Barret "I'll take you to hell" quote, it just fitted so well when he picks Jensen up (and his mouth is synced to that quote anyway)
Other than that, most everything in the trailer is great. Looking forward to this game a whole lot.
Not getting hyped...not getting hyped..
Seriously though, I hope they pull it through. I'm a bit suspicious about all the backflip rambo stuff.
The voice over parts dont really flow that well with this trailer
I still don't get what happened to all these buildings. Deus Ex 3 is meant to be a prequel to Deus Ex, but I don't remember any of these hi-tech buildings in Deus Ex. It was all gritty and realistic, normal. No sci-fi geometry.
I keep expecting him to tell me he's the batman.

think of graphics and technology back then. Now think of graphics and technology today.
I'm a strong believer that the story is more important than the visual connectivity of 2 games that are almost 10 years apart
I was just wondering... 2027? thats only 17 years from now
still it will be awesome

I didn't say graphics?
I may sound like a complete and utter idiot but why are there jet copter/car/whatchamacallits if it's 2027 when in the first Deus Ex, which took place in 2052 didn't have all that advanced technology with the exception of a few things?
In-story: I believe it's mentioned that just before the start of Deus Ex, a global depression hits. Coupled with the plague and terror attacks, the world isn't a very great place. Human Revolution takes place during a period of extreme growth and innovation- the invention of affordable augmentations, the various technologies they use and the growth of the business has been really great for the world economy.
Out-of-story: Hardware constraints and a different view of the future. Widescreen & HD monitors, for example, weren't all the rage in 2000.
I didn't say graphics?
naw, i just meant graphic limitations. :h:
This is exactly how you should not feel if you want to appreciate a good game.
I know. But my nostalgia is going to keep getting in the way of the actual game whether I like it or not.
As long as you're not like those idiots at the Deus Ex forums and realize that the game won't be a carbon copy of Deus Ex then you should be fine
I hope it won't be too confusing to players who have never played Deus Ex.
Will there be "A BOMB!" moment?
Half-Life 1 flesh hit sound at 4:04.
Is it just me or does this feel similar to MGS?
Planck?

Feel? So you've played it then.
2027? Honestly, from the current state of the world right now I don't think it'll progress THAT far into whats seen in the trailer. It was awesome, though.

Perhaps seem or appear would have been a better word.

If so, there also needs to be some reference to "What a shame."
