What's even better is when the new books sort of retcon some things in the end of Halo 3. Spoilers: [sp] like how they made Guilty spark not die and chalked up his final speech with Chief just him being crazy[/sp]
What? That never happened.

Really? I thought it happened in Grasslands?

Not once was Spark or Chakas mentioned in Glasslands, or retconned in any Halo media.
Damn Delta you beat me to it, I was to busy playing Reach. :P Video is epic I do say so.
343 did come back in the novels, but it was a back up of his program into an empty shell. Not a retcon.

For all who don't know. Guilty Spark was formerly know as Chakas. Chakas was a chamanune human living on Earth in approximately 100,000 BCE. After a rough youth on Erde-Tyrene, he became a prominent player in the Forerunner-Flood conflict and the Librarian's plans due to a geas the Lifeshaper had imposed on him. Although his physical body was eventually killed, his mind survived in the form of the Forerunner monitor, 343 Guilty Spark.
Well if you are so educated please tell me why an alien race has a name derived from greek mythology, while there is no reason for it to have a human name.
Because we call them that
much like we call sangheili elites
because we use familiar names to describe things
My cat works for bungie, he said there's going to be a part where you play as a grunt.

Very believable story, but Bungie doesn't make Halo any meow.
