Planet fitness isn't even a planet about fitness it's about a planet with rules and judgement, so it's called "planet judgement day". Anyways this gym is a joke from what I've been hearing a lunk alarm are you serious? For grunting, or dropping weights? What in the hell.
none of this ever happens in a real gym dude
This. I lift at a local Gold's a lot and it's non-stop support from everyone around. If any of us ever takes the piss out of someone it's to make them do better, like "dude come on, why are you doing that baby weight, bump a little."
Don't forget the Bagels.
I guess it's not as bad as some make it out to be considering its only once a month for most gyms but still.. They market it as a place for new gym goers, VULNERABLE people. If this person is still fighting with the choice of sticking with a healthy lifestyle or giving themselves up would you really want to tempt them like that?
Also there was a really popular article in the sensationalist headlines that outlines the overall scam that planet fitness is. They don't want you to be healthy, they want as much money as they can milk out of you.
are those tubs of butter, whip cream and jam?
my god
The guy at 2:14 is actually the Master Baiter. He practises lifting heavy fish out of the water with one hand.

It is not good for business if your main customer base is people who want to lose weight, and your gym is dominated by a small group of dickheads intimidating everyone else.
Plus if your idea of fun is to pay for a gym membership so you can take the piss out of people, you're a bellend.
How to spot a guy that hardly works out or know nothing about gym culture.
I never understood why they had the "Lunk Alarm." It just seems really embarrassing for whoever gets it pulled on them. Like, the entire gym hears it and looks at the guy who broke the rules. That's not nice.
I'm sure after the first couple of times they just turn their music up.
If you're not gonna use the weights what's the point? I do mostly cardio because I like distance running, so I just, y'know, go and fucking run outside.
Because that way you can use it as an excuse. "I know I shouldn't eat this box of donuts, but I go to the gym so it's fine" (excuse for yourself) or "It's my genetics! I go to the gym and I don't lose weight!" (excuse for others).

Also I've been around plenty of "lunks" who lifted almost twice what I weighed no problem, and of what I've seen they're almost always friendly and willing to give advice. I think the vast majority of this lunk bullshit is just insecure people who were using a machine wrong, and got tremendously butthurt when someone who knew how to use it gave them some advice on how to use it correctly.
The problem is that people mistake lunks for roid monkeys.

Because the judgement free zone only applies to fat and lazy people.
That deadlift form is my deadlift form
I dunno I think planet fitness is an okay is place if you just want to get toned, understand how calories, and don't partake in the pizza/cake/smoothies. It's a cheap gym at 10/mo, if you want to body build then of course it is horrible; but for cardio and so light to moderate weight lifting it is okay.

Why would you pay money for cardio though?
Why would you pay money for cardio though?
because doing cardio when it is rainy/snowy/dark kinda sucks, not to mention watching out for cars/etc.
because doing cardio when it is rainy/snowy/dark kinda sucks, not to mention watching out for cars/etc.
And when its cold outside. Its that time of year when many areas have a high of 5F, before a 20 mph wind chill. Doing cardio in that weather is actually pretty dangerous.

Never gonna make it.
Never gonna make it.
I actually did make it, I lost 60lbs and got in pretty good shape, then again I am not trying to body build or become a /fit/izen.

Personally I like to be at the gym since it enforces a better "work out" zone that enforces you wanting to work out, as appose to working out at home where you just give up and go play Video games.
it's silly how this gym paints the idea that serious gym goers are huge assholes, when it instead makes them look like huge assholes.
if these people visited a real gym they would realise that only a very small minority of people are actual dickheads with inflated egos. the majority of people that go to the gym regularly are very humble, and don't posses the mindset that anyone less fit than them sucks.
in the end i guess going to a shitty gym is better than no gym?
holy shit was the guy at 0:42 practicing fucking or some shit
No that's the guy at 2:25.

idk let them think what they want - In the end they're just being bleak, fat, malnourished unless they beat their insecurities.

Oh dear.. I might be motivated to gym everyday if they gave out free pizza!
The guy at fucking 3:21. My fucking spine.
Are you shitting me? You got to me shitting me!
Oh God!!! You aren't shitting me are you? D:
This is what the "everyone is a winner"-attitude is giving us.
Those "lunks" helped me lose 17 kg. Planet fitness, a judgement free zone!!! (except if you lift, teehee)
Reminds me of a sims 4 machinima I made
Holy shit, I thought those "/fit/ on New Years" comics were exaggerations but then I saw this video. How are people THAT stupid?
Even if you've never seen the machine before you could probably glean its usage from looking at it? Like, "hmm, this device has a chair here, and two areas with pictures of feet on them here. i think I'm going to stand on it backwards, face the chair, and do this standing up as if I were fucking it."
The lady riding the elliptical like a goddamned merry go round, too. Just, jesus christ.
My gym is a place where we respect people for coming, becasue it shows an effort. Everyone gets along and I have never seen any arguements, even if someone is on the smith machine

Also. Making a noise or dropping weights doesnt make you a "lunk", whatever the fuck that means.
It's great to drop weights because you are less conserned about the noise itll make when you bring weights back down and you can push yourself further. I drop deadlifts all the time
