The way the soda boxes are these days you can just put it on its side, elevate the rear a bit, and they all roll forward and you can just grab them one at a time.

I did this once. It resulted in all the fucking sodas rolling out of the box, falling 3 feet down out of my fridge randomly bursting and spilling fucking everywhere. When I went to drink them they were either flat, dented, or explosive.
The only life hack I've used before is opening the window during winter and placing drinks on the outer window sill. Saves loads of effort from having to go downstairs to open the fridge but just occasionally it can backfire with having to wipe bird poop off the can.

Not to mention anything outside during winter would probably be too cold to be enjoyably during winter, if not frozen solid. And in my experience with opening windows, they are almost universally a huge pain to open.
I don't see the point in the pants hanger one, just buy some clothes pegs assuming you don't already have some, its what I use.

Just put something over the top to protect it, like saran wrap or a ziploc
I thought the lettuce thing was how you were supposed to lettuce? I've only been working in a restaurant for a year and half or so, and I dont know much about lettuce, but that's the only way I've seen servers do it.
I feel like this guy intentionally tries to muck them up and do it as poor as possible, that popcase thing is a great example of what I'm trying to say. Gotta put them all in the fridge eh? might as well push WAY harder then I have to. It just irks me
