I don't think it's going to die. It's bleeding because it pulled it's tail out of it's mouth, which probably gashed it. A snake can handle eating a live rodent, those things fucking thrash about. I'm sure it can handle it's own tail without rupturing anything.
autofellatio
this intrigued me so I looked it up and this is about the best explanation I can find
And stressful. trouble is kings [snakes] seem to have an uncontrolable feed response , they see something move and go for it, and some are daft enough to include themselves in that.

Mine has attempted to bite herself a few times directly after feeding, I put it down to poor eyesight (she's albino) and still being in feeding mode.
basically snakes are fucking dumb
That snake is worth $425 Oops

A properly constricted rodent is usually dead within 30 seconds, in my experience. My snake would strike with enough force to cause bleeding from the nose/ears.
How were the people watching finding that funny?
How were the people watching finding that funny?
Seems pretty twisted. If that was me, I wouldn't stand there recording the fucking thing, I'd tell the guy running the store and hopefully try and help the poor snake out or something.
