Are they going with a mute protagonist thing? Because I haven't heard 47 say a god damn thing.
He barely said anything in the previous games either, unless required.
Everything released up to this point has supported the assumption that the Hitman series was going in a different direction. But Im really glad to see that its not. The voice acting in the beginning was cheesy though.
The trailers were like that on purpose and the first level gameplay is acceptable because it's a linear tutorial. Also there were plenty of points where he could've just avoided everything in the tutorial level anyway.

I guess it was just poor promotion.

Sucks because it's gaining this kind of reaction from people who actually played the rest of the series but it's smart because it will get the game a lot of attention from others. If they do actually manage to make it so you can do both effectively this time then they can advertise it however the fuck they want as far as I'm concerned. I just like having options. I'm guessing most people seem to forget Hitman 2 and how you were forced into a killing spree half the time, or in some levels you were forced to gun people down AKA that one mission in the middle east where you escort a nuke/bomb. There was no penalty for killing everyone in that game either.

And a man in a wheel chair. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] Granted the cripple was attempting to gun you down, but you still killed a reporter and a priest.
I always wondered why the Silverballers were conveniently loaded on that mission
Probably because Diane gives them to 47? Did you somehow miss that part?
Makes me think of that mission where you are supposed to assassinate those guys in chicken suits :v:
Actually i do believe this demo level was more a nod to the first level in the original Codename:47 I still love certain things they did in the original that they removed in later games...........for example in the original you could pick up any 2 pistols and dual wield them, so like a beretta in one and a baller in the other, i missed that in the sequels :(
Looks like they kept the most important feature in the game. 47's telepathic dumpster opening ability.
Hmm, it's interesting how they're keeping 47 silent, it makes me wonder if David IS actually 47's voice actor but David and IO are keeping it secret from the fans to surprise them when it's released? That's just my theory since it's a bit odd how they still haven't let us hear his voice.
He speaks 3 words at about 15:50 in, but I can't tell who it is.
He speaks 3 words at about 15:50 in, but I can't tell who it is.
Well it's not Bateson that's for sure.
You can always tell from the early gameplay videos whether or not the PC version will have the bad stench of a console port.
Could be a placeholder VA. At least I hope it's a placeholder.

Even if that was its purpose, releasing something for the fans along with the first trailer seemed like a logical thing to do .

The initial DXHR trailers had people concerned for a little while and the CG trailer wasn't truly anything like the actual game. They even said from the beginning they wanted to improve combat greatly and make it a more viable option. Now we've clearly got something that shows we aren't gonna be tied down at all. Crisis averted.
Everything looks awesome except for one thing and that is, like said in the YT comments, the music. Japser Kyd pulled off a very sweet OST for Hitman 1 2 and 3

They were just desperately banging on the gates and begging for their lives. Only time I've felt bad in a hitman game :v:
Can still hope it's David. :v:
Its not, he already confirmed it a lot of times that Eidos ignored all he's mails and phone calls. He replied to my mail i send him I've been chatting with him several times, he's such a cool guy to talk with
Probably because Diane gives them to 47? Did you somehow miss that part?
I haven't played the game in years.
