Why did she sing the song wrong, its 'drunken sailor' not 'drunken whaler'
Who cares, I still find it awesome
Was that a zombie or a plague victim or something at 1:13?
The particle effects don't look all that great for the attention they're given in this trailer
Why did she sing the song wrong, its 'drunken sailor' not 'drunken whaler'
From what I read, whaling is the biggest business in the world of the game.
Was that a zombie or a plague victim or something at 1:13?
If so; mite b cool
I think this game will do alright, the devs say there are multiple ways to play through the levels. Apparently you can go through the game without killing anyone, even your targets.
so u hover yopu hand around and ginat octopus robots explode?
Why did she sing the song wrong, its 'drunken sailor' not 'drunken whaler'
It was obviously on purpose.
seems pretty mediocre
This is going to be the best game in the last 5 years if they pull this off.
This is going to be the best game in the last 5 years if they pull this off.
Doubt it, there have been quite a few awesome games in the last 5 years.
Bioshock Infinite and Half Life 2 are the first things that came to mind, and they're both triple-A titles, so this should be good.
Why did she sing the song wrong, its 'drunken sailor' not 'drunken whaler'
The lyrics are based off Drunken Sailor. Hence the use of whaler, and the lines "feed him to the hungry rats for dinner" and something about slicing necks. Those were not in the original.
Why does it guys remind you of Bioshock? Personally, it reminds me of Bioshock Infinite.
City feels Half Life 2 ish
This was visually cool, but I think gameplay is more important so I'll have to wait for some proper footage of that before judging.
For those of you who are saying you're getting HL2 vibes from it, could be something to do with Viktor Antonov behind most of the Art direction of it. Personally I find its ridiculously sinister undertones fascinating.
he doesn't have anything to do with writing, he's visual design
Writing? You mean Art Direction. Since he's the same art director for HL2...
Fdsgfsdf, my bad, got muddled up.
The art style and the powers remind me of Bioshock.
I get that with the powers, but the art style? Bioshock is 1940s art deco, this is gothic Renaissance architecture mixed with late-19th-century industrialization. One's a gleaming city of The Future As We Know It, and the other's a gritty steampunk-esque coastal city. I'm not seeing the resemblance at all.
art style is a separate notion from architectural style the general feel of the locations ARE very similar, taking into account the colors, the ambience, the depression, etc
art style is a separate notion from architectural style the general feel of the locations ARE very similar, taking into account the colors, the ambience, the depression, etc
Bioshock is full of primary colors with mostly small, tight indoor areas, whereas most of what we've seen so far with Dishonored is grim, dark, monochrome, and either outdoors or in very spacious-looking sewers. To me it looks a lot more like Half-Life 2, especially the early alpha builds, than Bioshock. The most Bioshock-esque element I see is the shader applied to the rendering that gives it the same sort of cartoony look as Bioshock Infinite.
I don't know if I should be really creeped out or not because hearing children sing is never a good thing.
City feels Half Life 2 ish
because the city designer was the guy who made the half life 2 city designs :v:
whee looks cool
Dark Messiah of might and magic was a blast, I hope we ca kick people around, that shit was fun in Messiah :v:
It's like Bioshock, Dark Messiah, and Half Life 2 all got into a homoerotic threesome and somehow popped this out.
Then it was sent to daycare with Singularity.
