I read people's posts in my head, wait that means that george carlin is in my head, my god you're right i'm stoned
Just a heads up, both the druglords and the goverment both pump out loads of propaganda against and for the usage of marijuana. Marijuana is the bomb, but people tend to think that it is about as harmless as normal drinking water.
It just blows my mind how cigarettes are legal, knowing how dangerous and how 'cancer causing' they are, but joints are out of the question.
I agree with the car crashes, driving high would have to be illegal.
It would fall under a DUI charge. It does now, being high isn't illegal, just possessing the drug is.

Of course it's not harmless I hate the propaganda too. I mean just look at how many people die each year from overdose. Just saying. :downs:

There are some long time effects from it, I heard it contains more Carcinogens than cigarettes, THC is completly harmless though.
Society lets rich people tell them what they can and cannot do.
Weed saves lives. My friend was going to kill himself but then he toked and couldn't be fucked so ate a pizza instead.

Everything that's pleasurable has a negative effect on your body.
Banning weed because it has "some long time effects" while not banning tobacco is kind of silly.
I'm pretty indifferent about the whole thing. Pot smokers aren't nice hippies like people would have you believe (well not all of them). I'd probably try some if it were legalized. But if it were legalized, driving or smoking / being high in a public place that doesn't condone it should still be illegal (ie something along the lines of a pot bar would be an ok place to smoke).

so pretty much like alcohol

God shit why won't the governments realize how much taxes they could collect when legalizing it.
Society just isn't ready for marijuana legalization yet. Someone just has to do something to explain all the weed-ignorant people that it's not as bad as they think it is.

Just so you know, I am pro-cannabis, but I am trying to view it objectivley.
as soon as Science and logic take the front seat to the Media and the arrogant, life will be awesome.
No it would be shit. Everyone and their mother knows about everything already and you'd be clinging to your tv to watch the 101 different science channels.

He didn't say that there wouldn't be a world without entertainment, just no fucking retarded media.
Make Marijuana legal and make Tobacco illegal.
I'm all for weed, but Marijuana definitely is a gateway drug.
I would've never thought of doing any other drugs before weed but then I opened my eyes and realized that most drugs aren't as dangerous as everyone makes them out to be. Most of my friends feel the same way.
[editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
But then again It's a gateway drug for like, hallucinogens, not fucking, heroine and shit, that's something else entirely.
Banning substances clearly doesn't work, it just creates an underground market that then gets bitched about because it is "damaging the economy" and due to it being unregulated all sorts of shit is potentially mixed with the substances to make it appear that there is more.
Also, in contrast to alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, refined sugar (read this: http://www.lurj.org/article.php/vol1n1/sugar.xml), and other well known legal substances, cannabis is not relatively as dangerous or habit forming and has many alleged benefits revealed by credible studies.

Yea but if weed became illegal you wouldn't be around drug dealers and the like. Its like calling beer a gate way drug because if it became legal it would be practically just like it.
Legal or not, the general population probably doesn't care.
Just don't smoke it outside and I'm fine, thanks.
There are some long time effects from it, I heard it contains more Carcinogens than cigarettes, THC is completly harmless though.
Weed's never been linked to cancer. I mean, you can still get a chronic cough from it and probably lower your stamina if you smoke truckloads, but it won't kill you or make you so sick you can't function.
Very bias, only focuses on the pros and not the cons
Very bias, only focuses on the pros and not the cons
Present some major cons of why weed should be illegal. Also the movie was obviously made to be persuasive. I mean I don't see any other persuasive documentaries making arguments against itself.

I'm not saying it should be illegal so I'm not going to argue for it, I'm just pointing out that this is bias.

well how can you even argue against legalization of marijuana? I cant find one reason why it should be illegal, except that some companies might be hurt a little bit. Paper industry and some medicines.
edit: i think its nonsense that it remains illegal :350:
