Wow, I never knew that the guard would be revived.
So if I didn't frazzle Magnusson's casserole, does that mean he shouldn't have turned into an arse in Episode Two?

apparently HL 1 and 2 is a RP game too
What does it mean that something is "Canon" or "Non-canon?"
What does it mean that something is "Canon" or "Non-canon?"
Its easy
Also, I'm literally telling you to Google things in your post so you don't have to ask
What does it mean that something is "Canon" or "Non-canon?"
I am also wondering what this is.

I believe I have a different theory:
The half life universe falls into a final destination universe in which Eli missed his death in the first half life because no one killed him unless they knew how to complete the game, and therefor went round to kill him another way, aka episode 2
And that's my theory!
Maybe the bullet didn't kill him. Maybe it pierced some not vital entity in his head.
Or maybe he's just making another funny vid like all his other vids?
That's HL:S
HL:S isn't canon silly
This is very obviously not Half-Life: Source. You can tell because the game doesn't look like total ass.
Half-Life 2 was proven to be non-cannon at the end of the game. If you chose not to help g-man, you where spawned to a room with millions of alien grunts. Therefor making it impossible for Gordon's story to continue.

I think most people agree that Half Life: Source was just a chash in for Valve.
i obviously don't understand what canon is
Maybe the bullet didn't kill him. Maybe it pierced some not vital entity in his head.
Something tells me Eli wouldn't be so happy to see the man who shot him in the head unprovoked.
You can also get the crowbar and go back to Eli and kill him.
I always use the crowbar to kill that Guard that can apparently be revived

No, it was done by them to show easy it was to port stuff over to the new engine.

it keeps happening

As chunkymonkey said,
Half-Life Source's one and only purpose was to show how easy it is for developers to port their goldsrc files to source. Nobody made anybody buy it.
Ahaa, the video failed to mention one critical point that proves that Half life 2 was canon
Vortigaunts.
They're the grout that holds the tiles of story together
Need a way to add episodes to an already tied off game? Vortigaunts.
Want to expand your allies past simple downtrodden average joes? Vortigaunts.
Desire a way to remind the players that the game is science fiction? Vortigaunts.
Therefore HL2 is entirely canon because of multi-eyed electrical space magicians
Now if you'll excuse me I need to go and live in denial
I remember when Half life first came out
Whenever I get stuck, I go back to the beginning, get the crowbar and kill Eli over and over because I was bored.
Years later, I find out he's the same guy who is special to the plot of HL2.
This was before I knew I can kill Barneys for their guns.
canon*
come on guys
Everything I thought I knew about the Half-Life games...is no longer true!? I spent over a hundred hours in these games for NOTHING?!
I always assumed that the guard was dead and it was just desperation on the scientists part trying to revive him, never waited long enough to see.

But they have nothing to do with this
What the fuck is "canon/cannon"
