gray jedi? Jolee Bindo will be happy
gray jedi? Jolee Bindo will be happy
It would probably have a different name. You're either a Jedi or your're not.
Hopefully Kylo Ren grows out from his angsty teenage phase in this one
It would probably have a different name. You're either a Jedi or your're not.
only a Sith talks in absolutes!
what are next
Me thinks [sp]Luke saying "It's time for the Jedi to end" isn't more of ditching the good it's more of teaching people to balance themselves to be grey jedi, kind of like Qui-Gon?[/sp]

[sp]I really hope that Rey makes a spear/bisento lightsaber by the end of this.[/sp]
I saw R2D2 and the Falcon and I clapped! [sp]/s[/sp] In all honesty this trailer does look pretty good. However I feel like this will be more a [sp]Luke Dies In the End[/sp] film than a Empire film.
The Jedi Strike Back am I right ladies and gentlemen [Sp]for God's sake I hope they don't make it a quasi remake of empire[/sp]
It's funny how both this & the teaser to Force Awakens begin with a main character gasping for air.
It's very much an homage to that poster, plus incorporates the Jedi Order logo into it.
To elaborate 40 seconds on would not have worked nearly as well with the mask. "That lightsaber, it belongs to me".
Sure, but that's because he needed to show emotions for that scene to work. The rest of the time he doesn't need to emote, but instill fear and intimidate people. The mask and the voice modulation did that.
However I feel like this will be more a [sp]Luke Dies In the End[/sp] film than a Empire film.
I think [sp]killing Luke would be a really bad move right now, considering how Carrie Fisher is dead and that would leave no original cast members for Episode XI unless they bring back Billy Dee Williams. Then again they supposedly want to bring back Carrie Fisher with "no CGI" so I don't know what the fuck they're planning.[/sp]
hopefully it won't have a god awful score like last time
I wouldn't say it was god awful, just mediocre.
Kotor 2 spoilers [sp]Personally my fringe hope is that Luke goes the way Kreia from kotor 2 and determines the biggest cause of strife is the force itself and is trying to end the cycle of Sith beat Jedi then Jedi beat Sith .But barring that at the very least i am glad he went grey Jedi[/sp]
I think John Williams did a fine job with the score. It'll never live up to the OT or PT soundtracks, but it was still very much Star Wars
I think John Williams did a fine job with the score. It'll never live up to the OT or PT soundtracks, but it was still very much Star Wars
For some reason people expected it to be "Star Wars music but more!!!!" Thematically, it wasn't anything new, which is to be expected. There were several stand-out pieces in the mix, like every Star Wars film, with much of the same in between.
podracings back bitches
Sure, but that's because he needed to show emotions for that scene to work. The rest of the time he doesn't need to emote, but instill fear and intimidate people.
The only thing that intimidated people was his temper and lack of control. No one took him seriously, which was the point - it's more than just a scary mask that makes people listen to you.
It would probably have a different name. You're either a Jedi or your're not.
That's pretty much what Pablo said bar none. There aren't Grey Jedi. It's just you're either a Jedi/Sith or you're not.
He didn't say there couldn't be grey force users, just you wouldn't be a jedi or sith if you're not light or dark.
It kinda reminds me of the original Star Wars poster, honestly. [t]https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--FeEVS9Ut--/c_scale,f_auto,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/1479841656841178253.jpg[/t]
Yeah, I get that they're referencing the pose and super lightsaber thing. It was what I thought of too. That doesn't change that the TLA poster they showed looks like something I would have made in my high school media class in an hour with Photoshop as an assignment. You posted the original Star Wars poster as a comparison and hell yeah look at that art. It's glorious pulp science fantasy backed with great hand painted imagery. You can't even compare the two. I know the poster that was posted is supposed to just be some placeholder, so it doesn't really matter in the end and I'm admittedly nitpicking over nothing, but I stand by what I said.
looks fantastic I'm all in for this
i really hope there won't be any sign of a redemption arc for kylo ren
i'd like a redemption arc provided that it ends with Rey slowly becoming the villain
"there is no dark side or light side, there is only... side"
I liked how Kylo was just a shitty Vadar wannabe wimp and the movie, characters and audience knew it.
I liked how Kylo was just a shitty Vadar wannabe wimp and the movie, characters and audience knew it.
I agree it was cool and refreshing but it would still be nice to have a villain who's bad ass and competent so we know there's stakes. TFA's villains were morons who got their asses kicked by a man who cleaned toilets for a living.
I liked how Kylo was just a shitty Vadar wannabe wimp and the movie, characters and audience knew it.
Well the Resistance and New Republic had no more jedi, so one force user, even if isn't very good is still a threat, especially with dark side power.
