I mean "Moon Unit" and "Dweezil" are funny at first but wouldn't they get old quickly?
The sort of joke you can only laugh at once without getting on the person's nerves. Even the most tolerant of people will inevitably get annoyed. Even then, upon meeting someone with an unfortunate name I just want to inform their parents of my opinion of them.
Rip my name was one of the first listed
Never forget the family that named their child 'Dovahkiin' in honor of Skyrim.
I'm sorry but getting worked up about the names seems even more stupid than the names themselves.
Literally an immature self entitled 13 year old thinking he knows better how the world works when rambling about "dick"
Why do people keep using this argument whenever someone just question a simple norm. The same goes for "edgy"; it's overused.

He's not even questioning a norm he's simply disregarding that he might not know names and how their shortening happened. That's why it sounds so smug to me.
The 13-year old vibe comes from the part about "Dick", I mean come ON.
Same with foreign names sounding like something naughty.
This video reminds me of the news story from like 2014 involving a guy named "Shelby Mustang GT500"
I had a girl in my middle school named "Princess". like ...wtf?
Yeah I know a girl named Princess. Is it a Filipino thing?
They get free Bethesda games for life.
they gave their kid a stupid name so they could play fallout 6 for free
i wish they were my parents

His point was that a guy named like that will most likely be bullied during his school years. Not sure if he's right though.
Wasn't there a brony on Facebook who posted about him naming his child after his Pony OC?
EDIT: Oh god i found it
Wait wtf where are you from? My grandfather was a gym teacher and had a student named Placenta.
This would have been in Benton Harbor, Michigan
Because that's also fucking stupid.
How is it stupid? Maintaining white lists of names is much better than getting shit results like that's our little "audio static"

Questionable names should just be sent for approval. (They already are, and if found to be unsuitable could result in child abuse charges.)
There was a New Zealand girl named "Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii" who used to call herself "K" out of embarrassment until the courts ordered her parents to give her a not retarded name.
I remember as a kid me and my family went to church for a communion and there was a young girl called Eden Cox called over the microphone for her certificate.
Ofcourse me and my family laughed our asses off.
Honestly more surprised that someone fucked Penn Gillette, who is probably the most famous Neckbeard alive
I remember there was this one girl in middle school named Crystal Johnson and my friend and I always thought it was funny because dicks.

That kid is about to enter kindergarten now
Not all bad names are the fault of the parents, some people just do not know English before they move to an English speaking country. One of my family members apparently once served a customer who's name was romanized as "Yummy Poo".
All these celebrity names and he didn't even mention kanye west's kid: North West. (yes, really.)
Ok but thats a dope name so
Surprised he didn't bring up some other ridiculous names I've seen like someone legit named their kid "Like" and someone else named their kid "Dovahkiin"
Never forget the family that named their child 'Dovahkiin' in honor of Skyrim.
To be fair they were smart about it and made it his middle name, so besides his ID, the kid will never have to write it or say it anywhere, besides chances are when he goes to school, kids by then won't know what the fuck a Dovahkiin is(unless future TES games have one.)

Clearly that's not working.

No shit of course he's gonna act like an immature kid to those names because that was much of the point of the video, to show names that immature kids will bully other kids for, regardless of how mature people won't.
I knew a girl named Ninja.
What kind of parent thinks that's a good idea :v:

Doing the thing you are complaining about to make the point seems kind of like a dumb strategy.
It only shows how dumb the bullying is in the first place which, again, he didn't even mention.

Maybe it's Ninia.

Change your account name to "Schwanz" and we'll see how you like it
what the fuck I agree with most of these but Moon Unit Zappa? hes probably a pimp
whilst we're on the subject of names, there was a girl at my school called Hannah Rose Mycock.
it honestly surprises me that some parents don't notice these things.

*She
For those that don't know, Dick is derived from Richard through Rick; in Medieval England, rhyming nicknames were quite common. It is where were got Bill from, via William through Will.
Unpopular opinion, probably with british redditors.
Americans need to stop naming their kids Gavin and Liam. Those are not American names. Those are British names.
