I wonder what would happen if you had a D-Day survivor play the opening mission to Medal of Honor: Frontline using this.
even with my gramma its kinda weird thinking the most advanced thing on the earth when she was my age was well this [t]https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRyRFbFdbKTsOuy_qXF6VIdfGJB3kwGW0ePQ7Ml3-l6FOlxwaih3A[/t] [editline]14th April 2013[/editline] still old people are good at addapting to technology, my gramma loves her e-reader, and even could figure out how to use an ipad very easily (well u know outside of setting up anything) [editline]14th April 2013[/editline] wait nvm that machine is alot newer than her,hmm lemme find something more period appropriate [editline]14th April 2013[/editline] [t]http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSGn4FgGWBWljX_qNRjXgK9D6AYIRg5Fs2aQUvqp7z_5Ul1KYpn[/t] this is probably closer, not much from the late 40s
Jesus If this video doesn't sell this thing nothing will I mean you could literally have this be one of the big things about the rift - not so much for games but for just having it so you could literally visit far away places from the comfort of your home. That's appealing to anyone, not just gamers.
she should be a salesman for the thing im sold [editline]15th April 2013[/editline]
I wonder what would happen if you had a D-Day survivor play the opening mission to Medal of Honor: Frontline using this. I want to do acid and put on the oculus rift and trip off into a dream world.
[del]What excactly is "sittu?"[/del] Apparently "situ" means "grandmother" in Lebanese.
situ means "go take a shit" in estonian
It's one thing for us to see this technology, having grown up with 3d games, graphics, and an affinity for digital interfaces, but this lady has seen the entire development of media. If she is 90 she was born in 1923, so she's seen Movies, Radio, TV, Home Music, and Computers all come into existence in her life, up to to fully immersed 3d Virtual Reality. I can only imagine what we'll have seen by the time we're 90.
Half life 3 will probably be at E3 that year But really, like 10 years ago when these things were in the those goofy shows or movies it was like a godly science. But now they actually exist and I'm only just about to turn 20. I am excited for technology.
me me want one
We are living in the future right now
I want to see that ultra-orthodox 80 year old Siberian women from that VICE documentary use it.
give her bioshock infinite. the not so scary parts
During my playthrough I kept thinking how amazing this game would be with an Oculus Rift.
i want one now
i want one now
Do you by any chance also own a Hydra? :v:
This 90-year-old granny has tried the Oculus Rift, and I haven't.
I wish they had recorded the screen and put it in the corner, so I could see what she was reacting to.
This 90-year-old granny has tried the Oculus Rift, and I haven't.
And this.
That makes me excited for Occulus. Imagine playing Amnesia wearing one of these. You'd have an existential crisis.
Do you by any chance also own a Hydra? :v:
no
So will the commercial Oculus Rift allow you to put glasses inside it if one of the premade lenses don't work?
You can't see from 2 inches away from your face?
I haven't been following with OR much, but do you have to turn 360 degrees in real life in order to turn around and navigate in the game?
You can't see from 2 inches away from your face?
That's not how eyes work.
I haven't been following with OR much, but do you have to turn 360 degrees in real life in order to turn around and navigate in the game?
I would assume during gameplay the sensitivity would be up to where you can do a 360 by moving your face like 40-50 degrees.
shit, i thought it said tranny
