They don't gas them anymore? Aww.
It was fun hearing a room full of cows in distress and suffocating.[/pure_evil]
And the shit PETA produces isn't?
So what makes this inherently more trustworthy? How do you take one piece of propaganda over another and go "man, finally some some TRUTH rather than this PETA crap :smug:"
I'm not a huge PETA fan or anything but elevating the bullshit that says "nothing is wrong all the animals are fine!" in spite of mountains of evidence that that isn't the case makes it seem like people are more interested in assuaging their guilty consciences than in what is actually true.
Gee, she sure looks tasty.
I don't know about any of the discussion going on about legitimacy of the video/whether the industry is good or bad in general, but that owner is a very good guy. Hard working, dedicated, friendly.
atleast they show the animals some respect
The only moment I felt unease was when I heard the hair peeler. The rest is all very well done
Loving the comments from the people who didn't even watch the video
I think everyone should see this video, especially the PETA people. This video shows how it's actually done. Not that PETA bullshit.
Its still sad : (

You didn't watch the video didn't you?
Its funny when people cry over an animal dying, but when a bunch a humans are murdered, shot or raped, the general public goes "oh well."
I grew on a farm and I can tell that stunning animal produces a bit worse tasting meat.
At my grandpa's farm we didn't stun because we were too poor to afford the equipment but our neighbors did stun and if you taste the meat from both, the nonstunned tastes better.
But if you don't compare them, the difference isn't noticeable I guess.
most meat packing places don't do that.
Seriously?

That's because suffering makes things sweeter.
You know stolen food is nicer to eat? That's because you cause SUFFERING
Same deal.

i'd rather know the animal i'm eating had a quick, easy death, then it tasting a little better.
I would never wish harm upon any animal (Except wasps, and possibly fucking moths)
But so long as the meat I eat has a comfortable life followed by a swift, painless death, no harm done.
Plus, I mean, come on, who doesn't want to be a burger when they die?

My avatar is saddened by your remark, even though I do agree (for everything except spiders and you puny humans).
I'm hungry now
This was very very good, this video needs to be shown more than those poor practice torture houses that peta like to shove in our faces.
This is what the majority of the meat business is. I wish PETA would stop stereotyping the industry by showing those horror, poor practice slaughterhouses.
Durrrrr.....
Do you really think they were going to videotape how they kill animals and make it fucking brutal? No, you'll see them working on their best day and following all the rules.
That's one of the problems with these types of businesses. They have check-ups to make sure everything is legit, but some places just do it differently on days they are watched. It's fucking stupid.
This didn't make me cringe, other than the stereotype videos PETA made of slaughterhouses who just kill them right off the bat
This video is really informative, though
