If he fills his bag full of sand then puts it on the mine can't he just walk away?
Why would people design a mine that went off when pressure was released?
I'd assume so you can bury it without risk of setting it off.
I remember seeing a TV episode of a cop or S.W.A.T. type of show where the main story of the episode was that a guy stepped on a kind of mine/boobytrap and the rest of the episode was everyone else trying to figure out a way to get him off alive. You'd be surprised how exciting you can make a story about a guy who literally doesn't move the majority of the script.
You're thinking Flashpoint. Terrorist was putting bombs everywhere, squadmate steps on a souped up s-mine early in the episode, entire episode is squads bomb expert attempting to disarm said mine and failing every step of the way because terrorist douchebag made it increasingly impossible. [sp]by the end of the episode, when spike runs off to find more tools, Lou tells his family he loves them and steps off the mine, setting it off. He knew spike wasn't going to stop trying, but he also knew there was nothing that could be done.[/sp]
Holy fuck those intro drums are literally one of the stock loops from Heavyocity Damage, I've used that same loop in a short film I scored :v I can't stop hearing these drums, they get used all the fucking time in blockbusters, especially action/military-oriented movies
reminds me of a scene in monuments men where this happens which is surprising, because i forgot monuments men existed

he can just disarm the mine by crouching and pressing the O button (or B if he's on xbox)
