To be honest its not that surprising if your engaged in the "classical" music area. There used to be a guy at my university that did opera that could sing as high as this man. It was quite something, but when your surrounded by these type of people its not surprising at all, but I suppose when your studying music your going to be surrounded by people who are very specialized.
The guy singing is a tenor. If he was a countertenor, which is the highest a man can possibly sing, he would most likely be a castrati. Very highly unlikely though, for someone to be a castrati would mean they would be castrated before they hit puberty. I doubt that is the deal with this man, which brings me to the conclusion he's a tenor. The guy I went to school with was also a tenor.
Well, that made me smile.
The second he started singing my mind exploded. A voice like that seems so impossible, especially after hearing his regular voice.
