Why the fuck is Doomsday there? And why does he look like a cave troll from LotR? I thought it was Batman vs Superman, not Justice League Origins
Relevant
Why the fuck is Doomsday there? And why does he look like a cave troll from LotR? I thought it was Batman vs Superman, not Justice League Origins
The movie is called "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"
My friend is convinced that Darkseid will be the real big bad in this and doomsday will just be sideshow bob and an excuse to get wonderwoman on screen.
Highly doubt it. There are, like, three "main" big bads of Superman: Brainiac, Darkseid, and Lex. Lex is already here, and brough in Doomsday. Having Darkseid would clutter this all too much. Plus, he's too big of a villain to "waste" on the first movie of a planned many. Maybe for a final Justice League movie, since he's more of a JL villain than Superman.
If Darkseid is going to appear in a future movie, that's if he is, then I'd wish for Michael Ironside do the voice like in the DCAU. He's always felt like the definitive Darkseid.
The movie is called "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"
It still should be Batman v Superman at its core imo

Have it end with Superman in the Fortress of Solitude deciding that the threat is too big for just him and calling for the JL to gather.

What'd be the dramatic climax? How'd it go?
Man that trailer showed way too much. I pretty much regret watching it.

Have the story focus on how Superman doesn't want to involve the Justice League because he doesn't want to endanger them and at the end, after being beaten, have him call Batman or Wonder Woman to gather the JL. Hell have Superman win in a fight again some crony of Darkseid that he thought was Darkseid, and afterwards have it revealed that Darkseid was the man behind the man all along, then have the Justice League tell Superman "You can't do this alone, we're helping you whether you like it not."
uhm. Don't know what to think. On one hand it looks interesting, on another it's a mash of everything into one movie. It's like they are trying to do "Accelerated Avengers" where only Superman gets a standalone movie, then everyone comes together and be friends and only afterwards Batman and Wonder Woman will get separate movies. Also Doomsday does not look interesting to me. King Shark on CW's The Flash was created perfectly, while this thing of a Doomsday just doesn't look that great... I mean this: Is supposed to be that?: I personally dislike how Doomsday looks.
He looks like lizardman from the that spiderman movie or the abomination from the Hulk movie. Why did they spoil everything in the trailer.
Why were people hyped for this movie in the first place. Very bland plot.
Why were people hyped for this movie in the first place. Very bland plot.
Batman and Superman on the same screen in a film. Same reason people got excited for Avengers 1 etc.

I feel like DC haven't realized that the Avengers had a fair few critically acclaimed movies leading up to it, that established characters, world, tone and setting. This movie looks like it's going to be very exposition heavy and it's following up a relatively mixed movie.

The real question is if they can do it well. The Marvel way isn't the only way, even if does turn out to be the best way afterwards.
i'd rather not have 4-5 origin movies that leads up to another movie where they team up.
Origin movies are the wrong word though, since Thor, Iron Man, Captain America etc all stood on their own as decent movies before the Avengers came about.
