Oreimo and MM! aren't bad shows, despite having slighty weird stories including eroge and masochism.
Its not as if that is what its really about either, rather that those details, such as kirino's addiction to eroge is what gets her into the problems and w/e.

Why exactly is it a horrible idea? The show is actually better then a lot of anime I've seen, since at least it isn't generic high school crap. Watch it before you try to argue against, and give it critics from the view of someone who would actually watch anime, not as someone who hates the whole genre just because a whole bunch of others do it.
