Which is again strange because what I heard about Shadowrun said it was pretty fairly balanced except in high precision situations like sniping. Complemented by my own experience of playing on both platforms as well as with people who use gamepads on PC. Which has no aim assist whatsoever. It's just complete bullshit. The reason people didn't play Shadowrun was because it was a shitty game, not because of any imbalance.

Nope. It only compensates for enemy motion.

Bullshit. Just plain bullshit. From what I hear of Shadowrun the only place any difference was made was in sniping.
Halo doesn't even have an aimbot. It just stabilizes your aim with moving enemies, it doesn't lock on to anything. You'll still miss if you're a poor shot. Sometimes I play with people in TF2 who decide to use gamepads to play mp with, you probably can't even tell who they are because it makes no freaking difference.
Fanboy alert.

sums it up right there
Wow, PC gamers are better than console gamers on a FPS? Really?
It doesn't "iron out shortcomings". Yes, it keeps your aim on moving targets. Is it because an analog stick is less accurate then a mouse? Maybe. But you're not realizing that the second part of aiming is movement (you know, for slight adjustment) and having played only console games until about 3 years ago I know that it's just as easy to be as successful with the gamepad as with a M/K.
The problem probably lies in the fact that console gamers are mostly 13 year olds who don't actually know how to play games, so the only practice the 'good' players get is killing complete scrubs. I played the fuck out of Halo 2 on xbox, and after a while I just stopped playing because there wasn't any challenge against the hordes of terrible players that would turn up every time I played. There wasn't an opportunity for me to learn how to fight against people with good, organized tactics.
That's probably also why I was complete shit when I first moved to PC gaming, even after getting used to the control medium.
what are you if you own both console and pc, a huge faggot?

Also that chick irked me.

uhhhh halo does lock on
I am pretty sure i could kick any pc gamers ass in a match of quake 2 on the psx back in the days. That game had awkward controls and no auto aim.
It's just not fair to do a test like this.
Yeah, the chick bugged the fuck out of me too.
Also BnB, it is painfully obvious you are a massive console fanboy, we get it, you can't accept the fact that something might have a better aiming system, live with it and move the fuck on.
In fact, why is it every time I see your avatar I know there will be massive shit posting, and am proven correct every single time?
You're not even good at arguing either, you constantly twist people's words into shit they didn't even say so you can dodge the argument, when you can't do that you just focus on one point and ignore the others, and you generally just make new meanings for shit so you can actually have grounds for a counter argument.
Oh, and the whole thing where you only know one aspect of something and base the argument solely off of it (I.E. "I know it is like this in halo, dunno' the other games lol").

I also experienced some difficulty moving from console to PC. The thing I noticed the most was that I had trouble aiming.

D'aaw, it's for people with cerebral palsy. :v:

Remind me, what does an aimbot do again?
I honestly think it doesn't matter which you use, I use my 360 controller on TF2 sometimes and im usually in 1-4th in the game.
Nope. It only compensates for enemy motion.
Like there's any fucking difference. It still helps you aim.
i prefer fps games on and xbox it give me more of a challenge
plus i dont have to upgrade my pc just to play it
HL1 had aimbot (also known as AIM ASSIST in certain game such as HALO) if I remember.
Sometimes the controllers are better compared to the keyboard and mouse for specific game types. Like games that involve driving. I hate it when you try to compensate for crashing into something on the right side of the road and end up crashing on the outer left side of the road (mmmyes I'm looking at YOU, Saints Row).
Ofcourse there are joysticks and racing wheels but they are available for both parties.

Although this is already obvious in-game, I want to further back people's statements by saying it indeed has autoaim. Each gun actually has it's own varied degree (literally, degree of aim) which is specified in all map files. Why per-map, I don't know, but I've developed small mods for Halo PC, and everyone else who was in the HaloMods community and used Halo Map Tools back in the day knows about this, too.
:sigh: Oh the memories of playing on Halo Trial and griefing on No-Banshee servers, back before griefing was popular.
I don't think Valve's games on console have aim assist.
Then again probably because their games are always built on PC first.
They do. It's in the game code. Valve's games are more portable than you think.

If you have a computer from when the xbox 360 was released, chances are you can play anything that came out from then till now, just not with maxed graphics.

Gee, doesn't this depend on what's in the computer...not when it was made/built?
With more videos, we'll tell the world that PC gaming will always be better.

I know for sure Half-Life 1 on PS2 did, but that was the only Valve game I've ever owned on console, it was also well-polished unlike the others
Half-Life 2 on Easy mode doesn't have any aim assist...
I haven't noticed any aim assistance while playing HL2 on easy as well.
Heck, I didn't know you could change the difficulty.
atleast I have a machine in here that can run modern games (ps3), but if I had a better pc the PS3 would've been long gone by now though.
I'm a PC guy, but I will admit that consoles reign over PC in driving games. It's too hard to steer, accelerate, and brake with non-analog controls on the keyboard.

It's funny, because it's the first thing you see in the options menu and yet you have a HL2 avatar.

I started HL2 just to check, and I'm wondering how the fuck I managed to not see it. :ohdear:
