There's always something that comes along and makes you think "fuck it, what's the point". Crazy good work dude. I'm guessing you used an external program?

Fairly certain he didn't make that, and that was done on a console, so no Rockstar Editor or Director Mode there.

Small test.
Practice

Me and my friends went for a bus trip to Mount Chiliad. It's kind of stupid, but I felt like it was funny enough to be shared. As usual, 60fps enabled and all.

I wanted to test certain camera perspectives that weren't possible in IV:

Before I use the editor for something serious, they have to change the replay feature to be always on. I hate that it turns itself off so often.

I hear that. I've lost the count of cool stuff that's happened but action replay had turned itself off.
I'm kinda underwhelmed with Director Mode. I expected a suite where you could place out vehicles as you wanted and record yourself once then scrub back in time to switch character and record yourself again, and things like that. It kinda limits things. Can't have two characters in the same shot, for instance, unless they're a random NPC you run into.
free camera range is a piece of shit
just sayin
Things I've made so far. Nothing good.

I am pretty annoyed that stupid slow shake is apparently the default camera style.
My first video made in Rockstar editor. It's a police chase mixed with a story.

It'd be really cool if someone used this to make a movie out of the main story missions in GTAV

I hear you. In running, man there is one scene in 50 seconds in where it shows trevor being really far away and yet I can't seem to replicate the distance at all in the retail which is really annoying.

I actually want to start doing this. This is my first movie made from the first mission. I was thinking to do this with all the missions in this game. What do you think?

He might have zoomed all the way out.

I tried it with the mission "Crystal Maze".

A super punch mod was released in a trainer the other day and I thought it was worth showing in a video. Very fun mod.

This here is a motion blur test where i rendered out the video in 5% speed and then speeded it up in post, using the extra frames as motion blur.

Well, it was you or me that eventually was going to do this.

I was looking forward to doing this ever since I heard about the editor making a return.
Now to put it to some actual use :v:
This jerk was blocking the road!!

I remember doing it in GTA4 since it had 5% speed for 20 samples at 30fps.
Any ability to customize bitrate or format? I haven't exported anything yet.
Got this clip off single player, uploaded it for the achievement. Those guards really do scream a lot.

It's "High", "Medium" and "Low"
Not sure what the others are, but high is around 40Mb/s, which of course is PLENTY when you render at such a low timescale (because less movement from frame to frame ([sp]not to imply that you need to be told this[/sp]))
so it's not really a worry. I could not perceive any compression.

And how about taking things a bit further?
You can render out two clips of the same thing, but have both at different exposures so that you can combine them to get higher dynamic range for better filmatic looks.
Also, the game will only render out in the resolution it's currently running in, so if you want to render in 4K you need to either have a 4K monitor or you need to use Nvidia DSR to achieve the resolution.
