These guys are open carrying too, what's the big deal?
Oh wow, he reminds me of a bratty 14 year old when he starts talking to the police officer.
"I don't have to show you my ID, I can do whatever I want! I'm not being difficult, why are YOU being difficult? People are just ignorant." He's completely oblivious (or has too high an opinion of himself) to the fact that the officer believes he could very well be a crazed psychotic heading to work to shoot up the place, something his immediately defensive attitude towards the cop and refusal to cooperate in any way just reinforces.
He thinks he's being a true American patriot trying to wake up the sheeple to the police state we live in, but all everyone else is seeing is a half-crazed lunatic lugging an assault rifle on the side of the road talking to himself.
if I saw a guy walking down the street with an AK-47, and I knew open carry was legal, (As long as he wasn't talking to himself and had it holstered correctly) I would roll down my window and tell him how awesome he is for carrying around an automatic rifle.
Also, I think it's more or an intimidation thing. What kind of moron mugs a guy who's carrying around an AK-47?
Of fucking course you were stopped. Although its technically legal, you dont often see it.
Some guy walking around with an AK-47 and filming everything is the sort of thing some nutcase might do before he massacres a bunch of people.
Usually, the weapon being unloaded and slung over your shoulder is a sure sign that it's not going to be used. I can see this as a big deterrent, nobody is gonna fuck with a guy with an AK on his back.
Also, I think it's more or an intimidation thing. What kind of moron mugs a guy who's carrying around an AK-47?
And what happens when the guy carrying the AK47 mugs you?
At the start of the cop scene, all I could see was the cops crotch and I swear he was hard

How long does it take to load a rifle? A couple of seconds? Just because it is being carried a certain way in not way determines how it is going to be used.
Are you serious.
If someone was walking down the street with an assault rifle on his shoulder I would call the police regardless of what ever "intent" I could perceive. You are not living in a war torn country.
I don't necessarily agree with open-carry laws just because it's such a risk to police, the person carrying the weapon, and the rest of the general population. It makes people uncomfortable and that's understandable. I still support the right to have weapons and even conceal carry laws; especially since I'm from the Atlanta which can be hazardous at night in all areas of the city. Yeah, it's a risk to walk around a city at night but I like going to shows/concerts and often have to walk back to the car which could be a few blocks away and at anytime between the venue and my car someone could jump out and attempt to mug me.
I'll put MY RIGHTS before other people's FEELINGS on any fucking day of the week. Guns, speech, anything. If you have a problem with that you can fuck right off
That guy is not a threat to anyone, is responsible and can open carry as the law says. Everyone has a passion, and his is for guns. You don't have to be a batshit wackjob from the hills of Kentucky to have a hobby. Besides, I think we all know who is the real danger to our society:
yes black people are the real threat here
oh fuck off, nowhere in that post did i say that "the police should be harassing everyone who is physically capable of shooting someone."
guns tend to shoot things
sometimes in the hands of an unstable person, those things may be people
how do you expect the cops to know he isn't balls to the walls crazy?
cops are not allowed to assume, they must act on what they know
that guy has feet, he might kick someone.
that guy has feet, he might kick someone.
I'd like to see some guy walk down a street and kick 20 people to death.
Nevada says you can open carry, but it's a sure thing you'll get a talking to by Metro
I'd like to see some guy walk down a street and kick 20 people to death.
I haven't seen anyone walk down the street and shoot 20 people to death recently either
that guy has feet, he might kick someone.
Feet are not specifically designed to kill people.
I haven't seen anyone walk down the street and shoot 20 people to death recently either
And comparing someones feet to an assault rifles ability to kill is about the most idiotic post so far.
you're forgetting that breivik was pretty much completely insane. He probably would have just used more bombs if he didn't have guns.
The guy's a dick, the policeman is perfectly reasonable.
you're forgetting that breivik was pretty much completely insane. He probably would have just used more bombs if he didn't have guns.
What? What does that have to do anything? I'm aware that he probably is pretty much insane, but that's the point. You see a guy walking down the road with an assault rifle you have no idea what his mental state or plans might be.
How long does it take to load a rifle? A couple of seconds? Just because it is being carried a certain way in not way determines how it is going to be used.
It takes quite a bit longer than a couple of seconds to load it considering you have to fish the magazine out of your pocket, move the rifle around to actually begin loading, possibly fucking up and dropping the magazine, then finally cocking the weapon. Unless you are a god at using weapons and have trained for months if not years, it will take far longer to load it than if you had the magazine in hand, and have practiced this for a long time.

How the fuck do we know that the guy who made this video isn't insane. How does ANYBODY walking down the street know that?

Are you joking? I'm not even a massive gun nut, in any way, I've been shooting assault rifles for MAYBE 3 months now, and I can pull a magazine out of my pocket, shove it into the magwell, cock the gun, and flip off safety and ready the gun in less than 10 seconds, you're telling me that's not fast enough to catch someone completely off guard and kill them?

Dwarf fortress.

THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS, by the way.

If you are rushing you can load a rifle in under ten seconds, its really not that long of a time.
IF YOU ARE AN ANTI GUN PERSON DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO JUST TO BITCH ABOUT. AND IF YOU LEAVE COMMENT JUST CALLING ME NAME I WILL NOT ANSWER YOU. THAT IS JUST CHILDISH. In this video I walk from my house to my wifes work open carrying my AK47. I was stopped by police half way there. I hope you enjoy. Sorry for the shaking cammera. Thank you all for watching.
I really can't watch this video, from the sounds of it he's just ASKING for trouble by carrying some sort of long gun round a neighborhood. I personally find guns interesting as all hell at times, but I know for a fact most people don't. So why do something to bring so much negative attention to yourself? Sounds like he loves to stroke his own ego.
People should learn the fucking difference between what is legally wrong and morally wrong before they go and call the cops.
The Police are for law, not moral disputes.
"Sorry I'm pointing the camera at the ground a lot. I don't wanna show you guys too much and then you'll know where I live."
Then half the video is of the side of the cop car that says "Houghton Police". The only Houghton that I know of is the Upper Peninsula (Michigan). It has to be because of their Canadian/Minnesoda-esque accent.
"I can open carry, ok eh?"
"I know you can open carry, ok?"
"Well then don't lecture me, ok?"
"I'm going to lecture you, ok? It's my job, ok? Eh?"
It's not too heavy, but just enough to notice.
Yeah he mentions Marquette too.

Why should anyone resign their rights for the ignorance of their peers? isnt that the main reason america is going to shit

nobody's talking about taking rights away
we're just talking about knowing when to exercise said rights
