it's not bad, it's just not as good as the first
biggest gripe is that it just ends but like said, they had already planned to make it a trilogy so they kinda forcefully ended the second game.
This is how you know the Game Awards are really about the people who love and make games. They don't just talk about what's trending; they've actually gone and found some person who lived the dream as a game maker 30 years ago. And that's beautiful.

Gonna be honest I think you've been a bit too hard on the game. The level design was fine in my opinion. I had no problems going from point A to point B. Was the difficulty bullshit at times? Yes. Was the combat terrible? No. In my opinion it's probably the best FPS released this year simply for the amount of character and world building they put into it. The final act was abrupt, but like others have said this is the second part in a trilogy. It's a setup for the "climax" so to speak.
I suggest giving it another playthrough and do things differently. Maybe a different difficulty level if you feel things are too hard, and try out some alternate ways to perform in combat. Give the gadgets a shot, maybe you haven't used them effectively?
It's interesting how young the industry still is to an extent. She's the same age as my mom.
