rather odd selections for the live show seeing as they did the award for best debut indie, but then skipped doing indie of the year lol.
These Awards were fair. Next year, I'd love it if everyone on Facepunch could stop saying cheap zingers like "X is gonna win because they're a bunch of sellouts" but I know I'm dreaming. I feel that every game more or less deserved its Award, not everything in the game industry has to be corrupted as fuck.
I do feel like Overwatch and PUBG were the most notable problems this time around, everything was alright besides that.
it's over?
It went better than expected.

The A Way Out Wikipedia page is being vandalized every minute :v:
yeah they announced this on stream. for some reason the pacing in this show was all over the place i found myself missing every other award
I nearly missed the Death Stranding trailer because I tuned out for Best Esports Player.
that was the award for DEBUT indie game. They didn't do the award for best indie game period (yet) [editline]7th December 2017[/editline] where are you seeing that? the game awards page isn't showing anything yet at least.
as a matter of fact I confused that with debut indie :downs:
Well time to go get some McDonalds, and play Breath of the Wild while watching the Room. Jokes aside, this was one of the better VGAs. Glad I tuned in.
as a matter of fact I confused that with debut indie :downs:
EDIT: The VGA website says that Cuphead won both best indie and indie debut. However, Mobile, Sports and a few other catagories weren't shown and the winners haven't been revealed.
fighting games
they announced this. but it was very briefly and if you were talking to someone on voicechat for even a millisecond you would've missed it. thats what im saying
Okay nevermind, Cuphead actually won best independent as well for reals [editline]8th December 2017[/editline] [t]https://i.imgur.com/fRXh0du.png[/t]

cuphead earned it
Okay I went to look up more on 'A Way Out' because I've heard it before and this is starting to get out of hand. [t]https://i.imgur.com/9oAEXqr.png?1[/t]
That was a good award show, they kept to the gaming roots. Big step up from last year, kept most of the focus on gaming culture and there was some really great moments to boot plus some really great game announcements to boot. Highlight of the night for me was Jorsef Fares interview, that shit was incredible :v:
I'm glad Hellblade won 3 awards. Deserved all of them.
I was really hoping for NITW to pull something out of the bag, but I can't say that Cuphead didn't deserve it. What a great year for video games.
Someone copy-pasted the entire script to The Room as well as a synopsis of Doki Doki Literature Club :wideeye:
