isn't that like pretty much all youtubers? It seems once they get over 500k subscribers they suddenly abandon all the good content, and become this obnoxious faggot who try hards for even more subscribers, maybe they just realize how they can make even MORE money by following trends and using humor only young people will understand/find funny.
This is why I quite enjoy watching some of the Minecraft redstone builders' videos. People like SethBling who seem to have stayed fairly down-to-earth despite everything, it's just refreshing.
I can understand if you don't like how loud he can get. Its one of the reason I like him because I identify with the fact he's loud because I myself, am a very loud person. Comes down to personal opinion, he's done a lot of charity, and does listen to his viewership.
You should try watching one of his better videos and not one of those awful "highlight" things, not to mention the animations based on them are basically never worth watching. His videos obviously aren't for you if you don't like the above kind of stuff, but you don't sound like the type that enjoys LPs in the first place.
Trust me, I love a good LP. Hell, I've watched all the way through 2 separate Sonic 06 LP's. The video you showed me is kinda nice, to be honest. It's not great, but it's not bad, either.
Isn't Multiplier basically another PewDiePie?
There isn't much point to saying "[x] is the same as pewdiepie", because that's the bulk of LP folks now. I can think of at least a dozen users who do the minecraft/happy wheels/dayz/rust/cheap horror game rounds.
It's interesting, I like really mellow LP's. TobyGames used to be super mellow for the first few months when he launched that channel. Trust me, I actually watched him a lot, go back a few years and watch his first few Amnesia Dark Descent videos, they are completely different. But caught the LP'ers syndrome with screaming, silly faces, and obnoxious facecams. For current stuff, I watch GopherVids a lot, Even for games I already played. He's older and just feels more sophisticated to watch. Same with SupaGoGoMan. His Lp's actually have pretty low production value, but they are post commentary and have what I think is hilarious dry humor. Seriously watch like a minute of this from over 3 years ago and you can see how the top LP'ers just fall into the scream with silly faces rut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfEu-LG5qEw

I remember reading a post from I think it was /v/ about how before PewDiePie got popular he would post that he was livestreaming games. His accent wasn't over-the-top, he actually played good, he didn't scream, and he wouldn't make terrible jokes that only 12 year olds find funny. I have no idea if the post was really true, but if you go back and watch PewDiePie's first Youtube video it's actually kind of interesting. He's playing Blacklight Tango Down, he's actually doing very good at it, he isn't screaming at the top of his lungs at stupid shit, and his accent isn't as thick as it is now. I'm not sure what happened to the guy, maybe he realized he could make tons of money off of dumb kids with as little effort as possible. And it's crazy how big he is now! He just recently hit 20 million subscribers. He's unstoppable now, partly due to his ravenous fanbase that will defend him no matter what he says or does. Robbaz is an example of it not changing. He's not giant popular but he's pretty big. Like 350k subs. And he makes genuinely funny videos I think. He stopped with most of the stupid sexual jokes and does some occasional LP series and some random games like KSP and Hunting games and he actually seems more mellow than before. Even if the accent and voice is faked, he seems pretty consistent.

Cr1TiKaL is another good one, he's been pretty much the same ever since he started, and he almost has 1,000,000 subs. And if he's as genuine as he says he is with donating all of his Youtube money to charity, that's even better.
also the fact he facecams takes away from his voice as well
also the fact he facecams takes away from his voice as well
I've always wanted to do a parody let's play where my face is the center of attention, and the game I'm LPing is in a scarecam window.
also the fact he facecams takes away from his voice as well
Actually, in Markiplier's case it adds a little bit more. There are times when something scares him, but he doesn't utter a sound. Moreso when's he's generally just freaked out by what's going on. It's extremely evident in his playthrough of Alchemilla demo.
