I didn't, i took 10 hours to beat it, if you blaze through it it takes about 8 hours.
you think 10 hours is short? you're more retarded than I previously thought [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] plus we're getting free dlc, with “new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more.” http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/04/29/portal-2-dlc/
I didn't, i took 10 hours to beat it, if you blaze through it it takes about 8 hours.
it took me around 5-6 hours and i thoroughly enjoyed it, not once thinking "wow this game is so short"
10 hours is short?
Uh Yes it is ? i finished the whole thing in 1 and a half day, how isn't that short ? for 50 bucks.
Uh Yes it is ? i finished the whole thing in 1 and a half day, how isn't that short ? for 50 bucks.
it isn't short because it isn't short
Holy shit. Eurogamer gave a 10?
Uh Yes it is ? i finished the whole thing in 1 and a half day, how isn't that short ? for 50 bucks.
Even if 10 hours was short it was 10 hours of fucking perfected story and gameplay. There's a lot of other games that slap a 5 hour game with a shit mediocre story.
it isn't short because it isn't short
Yeah okay, that makes sense, the game is definitely not short then!
Even if 10 hours was short it was 10 hours of fucking perfected story and gameplay. There's a lot of other games that slap a 5 hour game with a shit mediocre story.
So having shit developers making short games justifies valve lowering their standards ? Makes it okay sucking their cocks dry ? Off course not. I found it great that people bitched about the In-game store and campaign duration, that kind of thing might sound silly but it keeps them on the right track.
how did valve lower their standards
a movie ticket for a one and a half hour long movie is 10 dollars portal cost 50 dollars and is ten hours in the single player campaign alone portal can be replayed whenever you wish to portal will be updated with new content in the future so you better not ever purchase movie tickets ever again bucko cause if portal is a ripoff they're a holocaust
I beat the game in 5 hours. That's 10 dollars per hour of play time. I earn 12 dollars an hour. I am ahead by 10 dollars and a video game.
so you better not ever purchase movie tickets ever again bucko cause if portal is a ripoff they're a holocaust
No need to tell me, i already don't, well it's not like i have no friends but still...
how did valve lower their standards
Short games and overpriced DLC, two things they highly condemned and even criticized other developers for, and then we had the Lead 4 Dead 2 fiasco, 15 buck hats and the short Portal 2, things that we wouldn't expect from valve normally. But hey! that's okay, those are only cosmetic items and they did nothing wrong to team fortress 2, so we'll totally put that shit on every game from now on because people will continue to suck us off.
portal cost 50 dollars and is ten hours in the single player campaign alone
"Wow guyses Bulletstorm is such a ripoff! i mean, the SP and MP are only a few hours long and there's no replayability! what is wrong with games today ?"
You don't understand MW2 was 4 hours Portal 1 was 4 hours (If I remember) That doesn't mean their equally good games (Not by a long shot) the difference is that Portal has a good story, great gameplay and brilliant writing. It's not about the length of the game it's about how good it is - Bulletstorm (Although crudely funny) wasn't that great. The gameplay became boring quickly. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] You seem to think that the longer the game the better it is. You're also complaining about a bunch of cosmetic items that cost money - you might as well bitch at preorder bonuses at the same time. Valve is giving us free DLC for Portal 2 at the price of a few idiots that buy hats. - Despite Valve being an awesome company, they're still a company. That needs and requires an income to develop more content.

Well again, it's not that the game sucks, it's just unfair the amount of praise it receives... It's great but not a "best thing in ten years and possibly the whole universe" kind of thing. Oh and the store in Portal 2 won't be problem at all because no one will honestly give a fuck about it, thankfully. It's idiotic but not a problem like it was on TF2.
10 hours of SP 5ish hours of Co-op And then more free DLC coming, and probably an SDK is too short? There's no pleasing you
10 hours of SP 5ish hours of Co-op And then more free DLC coming, and probably an SDK is too short? There's no pleasing you
15 hours is nothing, but you are right about the DLC and SDK though, it will probably complement the game enough, i just hope they won't pull another Left 4 Dead with the SDK of this one.
15 hours is nothing.
stop posting
Perfect 10 is also a modelling site.
that's the co-op trailer?????
Short games and overpriced DLC
Valve doesn't even ask for payment for their DLC! They never have! It's all free! Please, for the love of all things good, stop talking shit about things you don't know fuck about! Or hell, even better, just :fuckoff:
They most likely cut out that last bit of the Boots trailer (where she is walking out the door) cause it made her seem a bit "too sexy". Which is not the character they wanted her to be portrayed as. I dunno, that's just my take on it.
The advert for this is constantly on TV in the UK, its annoying as fuck
Portal 2 honestly had some boring moments too, like a whole chapter on gel
Those were the best parts
I didn't, i took 10 hours to beat it, if you blaze through it it takes about 8 hours.
give me a game that is long and is not a RPG
I'm really hoping the new dlc has more ratman
15 hours is nothing, but you are right about the DLC and SDK though, it will probably complement the game enough, i just hope they won't pull another Left 4 Dead with the SDK of this one.
15 hours is nothing? And you say this isn't the Valve we know? What are you talking about? Valve isn't the 20 hour long rpg making company, they've always made 8-10 hour long singleplayer games. And I haven't seen any paid DLC yet. At all. Don't try to point me to hats, because that's not content, that's just a bonus that doesn't add or change any kind of gameplay. At all. Plus valve has always taken long to release SDKs. Half-life 2 took weeks. Orangebox took what seemed to be forever. In fact, the only game they released that had the it's own SDK available on release was Alien Swarm. You're either dumb or a successful troll. I don't know which. Oh and Left 4 Dead 1 wasn't a ripoff. It was very much worth $50 for being a new concept of multiplayer co-op. And Left 4 Dead 2 was a full sequel with as much content as it's predecessor. I don't know where people pull so much bullshit from.

You've yet to form a coherent argument, or any argument at all for that matter. "15 hours isn't long" my ass, that's longer than most games being released.
I totally agree with this
15 hours is nothing, but you are right about the DLC and SDK though, it will probably complement the game enough, i just hope they won't pull another Left 4 Dead with the SDK of this one.
Find me games released, recently that go over 5-6 hours. I fucking dare you. I...Fucking..Dare..You.
