Icing. Those things fly where it's -60F. Some freak storm in a disaster movie, of course a plane's going to freeze out of the sky. To be fair, though, enough ice on the edge of a wing can disrupt airflow and make a plane fall right out of the sky. Can do some other freaky shit, too. Just read up on Air France 447
