• How big government helps big dairy sell milk - VOX

It's pretty telling how even something like gov. mandated school meals and dietary recommendations is controlled by lobbyists and the industry's interests.
I've been drinking milk almost every day of my life and now it turns out milk is literally Satan's semen. Thanks internet.
When my uncle came to Canada he drank so much milk that he became the tallest of all the brothers thanks to the hormones. I guess it's useful if you want to grow unnaturally large; but you have to learn when to slow down/stop for obvious reasons.
Good news is up until puberty it's not that bad, bad news is if you're not in the digestible 33%, you should prolly stop drinking it after that. I was pretty bummed until I found some soy alternatives that aren't chock fucking full of sugar and don't taste like you're drinking motor oil. They're out there.
The only good milk is human milk.
Pretty much.
Also here's some research regarding estrogen and male fertility. Drink up if you want poor semen quality and a small cock I guess. :v: http://nutritionfacts.org/video/dairy-estrogen-and-male-fertility/
imagine a world where we would have to eat our cereal without milk ill take my tiny dick and cancer and whatever else and enjoy my fruity pebbles tbh
imagine a world where we would have to eat our cereal without milk ill take my tiny dick and cancer and whatever else and enjoy my fruity pebbles tbh
There are so many delicious substitutes that are better imo. Coconut milk or a splash of coconut water has been legit for me personally. Although I don't drink much coconut milk because it's best to make it yourself to avoid carrageenan, etc.
I love milk. I drink it with my dinner daily.
I drink two pints of milk a day :v:
I like milk. It's a nice treat. Goat milk is good

Milk is great I love the amount of "I'm a Vegan" in the comments.

I've been drinking milk almost every day of my life and now it turns out milk is literally Satan's semen. People have this ingrained notion (including me until recently) that not only is drinking milk healthy but it's actually an ESSENTIAL part of your diet. That's a bit worrying. It's only compounded with the issue that even MENTIONING that perhaps we shouldn't put so much emphasis on milk makes you look like some kind of alien that doesn't understand human dietary needs (which is ironic, really). People who promote milk in politics are actually seen as "the good guy fighting the good fight", only trying to feed our kids a little better for their breakfast and saying "don't promote milk" only brands you as heartless and ignorant. We're so used to drinking milk that we don't even think about it anymore, in the same sense that we don't think about buying bread or eggs. For reference, I've only taken posts from people who's flagdog indicates the USA.
I got turned off milk last year watching a documentary about Cows and their implications on every aspect of the agricultural industry. Basically realizing that cow milk is cow growth formula, and not human growth formula, and seeing what it does to the fat placement via hormones in men made me realize I don't really want to drink it or eat in most of it's forms. I enjoy milk and cookies but I don't drink or eat milk unless I have to. Or unless it's cheese because I don't have that kind of willpower to totally avoid cheese.
Uh, that doesn't sound right. Did you see that statement any other place that that documentary?
no it was just in that documentary as far as I can find. Cow milk has basic hormones that dictate where fat is stored in the body, no?
I've never felt, nor has anyone in my family felt, that milk is an essential part of your diet. We may be the minority but we drink milk because we like it, not because we feel we need it. Milk is undeniably healthy in some ways, but the nutritional facts don't lie: its very sugary and fattening. That doesn't make it inherently unhealthy, especially considering some of the alternatives.. but I don't drink milk as a health food. I'd consider it healthier than water because it has nutrients in it. Albeit, it has very few. With that being said, cheeses (not even just COW ones) are delicious, yogurt is delicious, milk of several animals is amazing as an ingredient. Also, poor swedish, they love their mjolk. [editline]5th May 2016[/editline] Also, only 13.2% of US citizens are lactose intolerant.

He only mentioned a plant diet right at the end of the video in the link I shared. Also the second link you shared seems more biased right off the bat than anything Gregor has said.
Defame Gregor if you'd like but he was just sharing what the reference information had to say. I'm finding several studies about milk increasing fertility in women as well. High fat is seen to increase fertility, while lowfat dairy is shown to decrease it. As for Greger, he's not very biased, even the first link you mentioned him in says he's still a good resource. You just need to keep a diverse selection of resources to stay in the loop.

He may be a good resource but he pushes his vegan agenda -hardcore- and that article you linked proves that. My selection of resources are independent(ish anyway) studies, or atleast things that reference studies of differing results.

I haven't seen him push it (or not in the time i've paid attention to him). There is no point in writing him off for that. He's not lying, just being a little choosy, and not in a hardcore way. He's telling the truth, and you shouldn't put your eggs in one basket; doing so is setting yourself up to be harmed.. Find as many proper studies as possible. From many sources.
..studies -are- the sources.
..studies -are- the sources.
And so were his. You're pulling at straws. Also different people that run different studies are different sources in my book. Anybody can make a "study", it doesn't mean that it's correct. Maybe I was rated dumb because I didn't explain myself properly? There are good and bad sources of studies. An example of a bad source would be that rat tumor gmo study. A good source would have multiple methods of control (properly and not set up to be biased or lacking), multiple follow ups for long term results, independent funding, peer reviewing, etc. Also it would be backed up by other studies done by other sources.
No, but peer reviewed studies typically are.

I'll take the cancer and keep my milk.
No, but peer reviewed studies typically are.
Were the studies that he referenced not peer reviewed? If they are then this whole debate is pointless and we're wasting each other's time.
Were the studies that he referenced not peer reviewed? If they are then this whole debate is pointless and we're wasting each other's time.
Unless I'm missing something, he's only cited himself.
no it was just in that documentary as far as I can find. Cow milk has basic hormones that dictate where fat is stored in the body, no?
Best I can find on wikipedia is that drinking cow milk can affect the mTORC1 metabolic pathway and could promote obesity and diabetes but it seems like you need a genetic predisposition for it.
