I got turned off milk last year watching a documentary about Cows and their implications on every aspect of the agricultural industry. Basically realizing that cow milk is cow growth formula, and not human growth formula, and seeing what it does to the fat placement via hormones in men made me realize I don't really want to drink it or eat in most of it's forms. I enjoy milk and cookies but I don't drink or eat milk unless I have to. Or unless it's cheese because I don't have that kind of willpower to totally avoid cheese.
If you're talking about bovine growth hormones given to cows, then that's a total myth. The human body breaks them down just like everything else. It doesn't actually absorb or use any of them because cow hormones are not compatible with the human body.
Just sittin here with mild lactose intolerance wondering why people think you need to drink milk I havent tried to drink it in like 12 years and my bones havent snapped yet
Come over here and let's test it tough guy Yeah that's what I thought you brittle-boned bitch
The video goes wrong at the point where it says "there's this idea that we have to drink milk in order to be healthy". The claim is way to big and too easy a target to disprove. Milk is healthy and drinking milk during breakfast is healthier than many common alternatives (water, soda, nothing)
Looks like I went wrong with the water bit. Oops. What I meant to say is that milk contains shit that water doesn't. In that sense it would be better to drink a glass of milk a day than literally only water. I might still be wrong here, though. Anyway, if you leave the water bit out of my argument, the original claim still holds. Is there anyone who really thinks that milk is absolutely necessary to stay healthy? I mean that's a stupid claim in the first place. It's weird that the video attacks such a ridiculous claim. How about the claim "A glass or two of milk a day is good for your health"? That one isn't tackled in the video. The video is about the industry using marketing and government funding to sell their milk surpluses. It's not a call for everyone to stop drinking milk immediately. Seriously, if milk really was a health hazard, the independent food regulation institutions of at least some countries would have warned against it.
Im a skeleton who throws his own head at a wall thousands of times a day Not a fracture
Yeah, a wall made of what, huh? I bet it's the wall of a padded cell.
Unless I'm missing something, he's only cited himself.
What are you talking about? Did you look at the links before you tried to make him look bad? He quotes several studies from good sources. None of them were biased or shit. You should seriously take a moment to understand what you're talking about before you look to debate about it, or else you just waste other people's time and end up embarrassing yourself.
the thing about milk is that it's perfectly healthy as long as you're lactose tolerant humans have been drinking it for thousands of years, so much so that it's responsible for the rise of several whole civilizations

The estrogen contents in milk is also incredibly insignificant that when tests done on rats, no change was found as a result of the microscopic amounts of estrogen. So no, he's twisting information for his own benefit still.
If you like milk, drink it to your heart's content. If you don't like milk, then don't drink it and make sure to eat stuff with calcium (which isn't hard at all). Personally, it's one of my favorite tasting drinks. I absolutely love it.
I used to drink milk all the time when I was younger. At some point I started getting this horrible after taste so I basically stopped drinking it.
I only drink chocolate milk. Its my morning coffee. I cant function without my chocolate milk. This whole stigma against milk recently is getting annoying. If you dont like or dont want to drink milk then thats fine but dont act like a total tool or your somehow better than you for not drinking it. (not really referring anyone in here)
I've heard there is a difference between American and European milk so I don't really know how milk tastes in the USA but milk were I live is pretty much as natural as possible
The only thing that stops me from consuming only milk as my sole source of nutrition is that I am afraid of kidney stones and my skeleton prematurely breaking free of its flesh prison.

The only thing people are worried about is how corporations are colluding with the government to help sell milk, going as far as dictating nutrition guidelines.
I'm not sure how it happened but I used to be lactose intolerant (not that bad, it just gave me horrid gas) and one week I just sat down and drank a shitload of milk every single day on the recommendation of a friend and I haven't had any problems since then.

My morning consists of: 1 Cup of Boiling Milk 3 Teaspoons Pure Cocoa 1 Teaspoon Instant Coffee a pinch of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Turmeric, and salt A teaspoon of honey Two teaspoons of pure maple syrup. Heat the milk while you mix the dry ingredients and wet them with the honey and syrup to make a froth ready for your hot milk. Before you pour the hot milk, make sure you remove the layer of condensed cream off the top with a toothpick.
Or unless it's cheese because I don't have that kind of willpower to totally avoid cheese.
A world without cheese is not a world worth living in.
Apparently I've been drinking 2% milk nearly every day for most of my life. [sp]And I drink it more than water.[/sp] I'm not the healthiest person due to often forgetting to take care of myself properly (and my personal hygiene is something i'm still working to improve after years of neglect) but somehow i'm healthier than I probably should be considering my life style. That's likely not a good thing whatsoever.
I've never really seen this "milk is healthy" thing besides it supposedly making your bones stronger. I just drink it because I like the way it tastes.
