Pretty much this. The bottom line is that it's in the game, and you have to deal with it. Because it [i]can[/i] be dealt with. If you have trouble with it, it's not so much the game's problem but rather your problem IMO

Autosnipers are great when the enemy team drops one and you pick it up.
Negevs are fucking laser pointers when you crouch.

If you're always getting picked off by awps you're probably playing the game for kill points rather the objective as a team.
It's only frustrating when the entire enemy team has AWPs and is waiting at every corner while you have an AK or something.

Cheers. I'm not saying I'm one of the people that does have a problem playing against people using them, I can handle them even though I'm not particularly special. What I'm saying is that they enable the worst of the worst to get kills because they're so easy to use, my friend who bought the game [I]yesterday[/I] is earning half decent scores with them, and he's the type who struggles against bots.

That's because he's new so he's playing against silvers who are probably also new and will just charge into the open trying to get a kill and end up getting picked off by awps themselves.
When you're playing against people who know the maps angles and develop a decent gamesense of likely player positions then playing offensively with an AWP becomes very difficult.
Imagine if you're holding long A on dust 2, as soon as the smokes get dropped then you're pretty much fucked if you're holding an AWP.

Fair point, although he didn't do much sniping. I watched him play for a bit, he treated it more like an AUG.
