The game hasn't been unplayable since October-November for most.
I have been playing it since release fine, I've had 1 bug and 1 crash that's it. Sucks that so many people are experiencing issues, its a great game.
I meet recommended settings pretty easily. Granted, my video card doesn't have more ram than I have hard drive space but that's pretty silly for a requirement for a battlefield game.

not really? bf3 and bf4 are extremely and i mean extremely ram intensive in both the actual ram and video ram.
It is for me, and I'm not joking about the unplayable bit. I borrowed a friend's account to see if I could actually play the multiplayer bit. But it just lags unbelievably bad, it's a literal slideshow for me complete with graphical artefacts and unbelieveable glitches. Also lots of BSODs, CTDs, and 90% of the time it doesn't load anything properly. During the 'Beta' they had I'd load into matches, get a black screen and could only see the game if I was in windowed mode, and on the esc screen.
I bet you this is your fault somehow, almost no one gets what you're getting.

Haha what? Battlefield 3/4 are seriously ram reliant and will lead to extreme lagging if you don't have enough of it.
I can't see how that wasn't found in playtesting.
Because they didn't playtest it. Their QA is notorious in that regard, some people think they don't even exist. Every next patch introduces something so horrible there's no way it could get past the playtest.
they clearly tested this knew about it but its ok they can release a patch 2 months after release
They just don't care.
Hey guys, we're suspending all work on DLC so we can fix bugs
*2 weeks later*
Hey guys, we're allowing you guys to pre-load the maps for the upcoming DLC
And this is what you get. A developer who is lost and on the verge of not caring, who is owned by a publisher who absolutely doesn't care
its either the planes, or the pilots themselves that can't take off
because few of the maps are just ported from BF3, and there are no problems taking off there
Just a friendly reminder they're working on the new battlefront and will be forced under the same conditions by EA.
It's at DICE fuck-up. People seem so intend to push game bugs onto the publisher :/ . I believe they need to rethink their workflow at DICE for catching these bugs. It's quite amazing they managed to bring out BF4 out for so many platforms simultaneously, but that means other parts of the project suffered a bit.
Anyway you can take off halfway the runway if you just release the throttle.
Runways are a bit short but it isn't this bad, its just bad piloting and making highlights to make a sensationalist video.
Stalling an airplane out in battlefield to the point where it drops and crashes is borderline impossible because of the weird flight physics it has.

There's no such thing as "DICE" separate from EA anyway. DICE isn't some independent developer pushed by publisher, they're EA's asset. You can't blame EA without blaming DICE.
